I’m with you that it’s not acceptable, but this does reinforce the point. OEMs are asking these insane prices for regular old vehicles.
Stellantis did this exercise with Jeep. And now they are sitting on 300 2023 300 2024s and 100 2025s at my local dealer and some wranglers are 15000 off… the consumer could give a fuck about the msrp. If they can’t afford it, it’ll sit. 100k for an ev chevy truck is not going to sell, willing to bet my house on it. Especially since truck buyers think EVs are worse than drag shows in pre schools.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.
Local CDJR dealers are sitting on a ton of inventory here too. I didn’t realize prices have risen so high on Jeeps. No wonder they’re sitting.

It's wild. Great for my residual My Jeep was $37K plus tax, four door loaded with pretty much everything you can get on a Sport with the 'Freedom Edition'. I think this gets you a two door manual with no AC now. .

I welcome these dumb EV trucks not selling though. They are cool and all but like 10K poundvehicles are just dumb.
Right?

Does yours have leather? Sports S + convenience is 47k now with a soft top... I also think Jeep recently reduced their MSRPs silently...

So I am semi eating my words here and willing to admit when I am
My IX is pretty pelted by rocks in the front... 6k miles have been ROUGH on it... and there are major Probably about 20-30 rock chips. It is a lease so but it's BAD on the bumper... almost nothing on the hood only 1 on the hood.
My tacoma has no rock chips at 9k miles... commuting is destroying my car... I think if I owned a car that would get 300k miles. I'd CONDOM the front. I still wouldn't condom a weekend car.

Yea I have a sick car addiction and I follow the market very closely. Stellantis is the canary in the coal mine.
They are also the biggest dicks in the coal mine. The prices they are charging for Jeeps/SUVs is/was pure opportunistic rape which was admittedly fueled by an idiotic public's willingness to pay for such rarities as new vehicles. Now new vehicles are not rarities. Also that Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer pricing is It's not much different than WFH. The pandemic is over (unless you're Brad) time to readjust.

Yea I tried to shop them at some point before the IX to get a "cheap" plug in WRONGler. But the lack of pricing transparency was insane.
"I can't give you a price quote you have to come in, otherwise you can take my quote and shop it elsewhere"
And then they called me for 2 weeks straight trying to sell me a used corolla, 3 different people from 5 different numbers ?
The worst run shitshow of sales holes I have ever witnessed. Almost swore off the entire brand after that experience.
Drove H's Lightning last night. Was a sweet CAR to commute in and just own in general. Trying to drive smoothly with max Regen on is a fun game. However I don't think I'm responsible enough for level 2 autonomy since I immediately started looking around like a passenger when Blue Cruise took over.

Yeah mostly leather with like some cloth inserts. I think unique to the package. Also has most tech/comfort options.
I think it was $42k MSRP with $5k on hood. $39,xxx OTD in May 2020.

I'm happy for Brad because nobody jerks it to the Miata harder on this forum and that is the Crown Prince of Miatas.
Fuck that stuck up out of touch brand. There will be manuals this is just free marketing they are doing to goose the 24 sales up… oh wow no manual buy the last one ever… because a mass produced German beetle is collectible…
Then 6 months later they will make manuals on every “gt” Model that requires 50-350k markup or 5 Macans purchased.

It gets better. Take lots of pics and stock up on booze so you can 'remember' this time via pictures.

Yea I actually gave up the juice for 2 weeks now... trying to unwind some "unhealthy" patterns. But it actually really calms the mind for me, but takes a physical toll... Can't have it all.

It puts you into this weird cycle. Where you’re looking forward to “smoking” or eating edibles or whatever. And you turn lethargic and useless towards everything else. It’s a terrible drug
