Now my buddies X5m60i was just at the 10k dealer service and they suggested they do rear tires... they are 335 wide and cost $750+ a PIECE + install. 2k or so all in FOR 2 FKING tires after 10k miles.

Yea that X5 has got to be the quickest way to burn through 120k in 4 years known to man.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 2:07 pmmax225 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 2:02 pm

Agreed BFG All Terrains wear superbly.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 6:34 amI mean same and I don't even put many miles on. I really don’t get that trim level. It’s has the m motor … but it’s detuned … m badging all over the place … it’s over 100k msrp … but it’s not an XM5
A horrendous fam car imo from a cost of ownership perspective when you have a great B58 powered X5 for like 65k

Agreed. I don't really know why people really go for the higher powered versions. You're accelerating under 50% throttle 99% of the time anyways? It'd be one thing if the B58 X5 was slow, but it's really not.max225 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 8:48 pmI really don’t get that trim level. It's NOT a family car. It's a dickswinger tech bro car. Nobody buys that thing thinking it's going to go through consumables (mostly notably fuel) like a highlander.max225 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 8:48 pmI really don’t get that trim level. Dude does some BS in pharma and his "wife" runs a daycare. I don't see them as dickswingers. Dickswingers drive a Urus or a G63. Not some bavarian knock off sports SUV that isn't even the top trim.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 11:25 amIt's NOT a family car. It's a dickswinger tech bro car. Suspension. All the youtubers say the m60i is the trim to buy because it has the V8 m motor but not the anus shattering ride quality of the competition trim.max225 wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 8:48 pmI really don’t get that trim level. I don't recall the X5M riding like shit but I think it's also wheel size dependent... The m60 can be had with 20"s where as the X5M has 22s I think.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 1:04 pmSuspension. Or nowadays or probably soon, Cybertruck. I just heard a rumor where 4 roomies split lease payments on a Urus in LA. But if not for family, why not just get an M2 that is $50k less and better?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 11:25 amIt's NOT a family car. It's a dickswinger tech bro car. Thanks for the input tiny sports car oxcart transmission lover. Huge swaths of America think dickswinging is all about dat BEEG SUV lyfe despite only transporting themselves in it. I would include myself in this analysis except my SUV mostly stays parked in a garage but for road trips.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 10:15 pmBut if not for family, why not just get an M2 that is $50k less and better?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 11:25 am

Thats pretty much the same mentality of these certain people all over the world. Some countries in Europe larger SUVs have larger tax brackets (Turkey for larger engine size), so automatically even something like say a Grand Cherokee is like considered to be bought from an individual that over compensates.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:31 amThanks for the input tiny sports car oxcart transmission lover. I mean I get it. As dumb as it is, there have been a number of road trips where I wished we had a bit more room than a and it's just us and a dog. BUT paying $10/mile to drive an X5 is still kind of odd. I get wanting to go fast and I get wanting space but why combine them? B58 is already far beyond adequate. What do you do with the dick swinging power? Burn through $8 of tires on each trip to buy an $8 coffee at SBux?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 11:31 amThanks for the input tiny sports car oxcart transmission lover.
