Shame they’re unobtainable. This would make a lot of sense for me aside from the cost aspect. But maybe I’ll just go full electric when that time comes.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 9:11 pm Prius continues to Prius.
1910 miles down and just filled for the second time, $32 for 9 gallons.
Lost the ability to charge at work as the charger broke, so I use the battery to work in the morning and hybrid home.
Seats are low key very good. Great lumbar, good bolsters and the softex pleather is nice.
Traffic jam assist is great.
Fantastic appliance. Much recommend.

A new tesla model 3 is leasing at 329 a month now. It is unbeatable.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:03 amShame they’re unobtainable. I can secure you one if interested. 6-8 week lead time if you’re flexible on color.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:03 amShame they’re unobtainable. I appreciate that and I’ll let you know if we want to do that. But I’m poor now that I got a house, I was hoping to find something for $10k but it’s all clapped out Nissan Altimas with unpainted bumpers at that price point.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:20 amI can secure you one if interested. 6-8 week lead time if you’re flexible on color.

My buddies illegal babysitter is rolling in a 7k altima he helped her buy. And it has been flawless for the last 2 years CVT AND ALL. There is a reason they are popular.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:32 amI appreciate that and I’ll let you know if we want to do that. 4MATIC's are no bueno... they lose the 7 speed and add another 300lbs... they are quite piggly to drive compared to a REAL silver bullet.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:53 pmCome grab a silver bullet

I got totally shit on recently telling some people that the new Prius is actually really goodfledonfoot wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 9:11 pm Prius continues to Prius.

Yeah I know. At that price ICE cars make no sense. Because ownership and fuel costs will be way cheaper with a model 3.
Have you been in one? How would it handle 2 kid seats and a dog in the back? Maybe a used model S would make more sense for a small family.

E class has my interest too. 4matic one for me. But seems big enough and relatively straightforward to maintain. Like an unplugged tweeter won’t total it. I just have no interest in owning anything that gets pathetic MPG and also requires premium fuel. The cost increase for premium around me is about +20% over regular.

Yes I drove a few. And absolutely fucking not on model s. It’s way more expensive and barely has more space. A $399 a month model Y would handle your scenario just fine. But a model 3 would be a bit more crampedJohnny_P wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 9:43 amYeah I know. At that price ICE cars make no sense. Imo Toyota shouldn’t have called it a Prius… they have a great car on their hands ruined by the worlds most hated car enthusiast name plate.
No and they refused to even look at a picture
Prius sells a ton of volume and has for decades, I would likely have kept the nameplate as well. It also makes the car all the more notable in the enthusiast world.
