I think the WRX would be alright if they cleaned up the rear bumper and got rid of the cladding. Looks like it's wearing a diaper.
Who looked at that and thought it was a good idea?
I've seen the new WRX with the cladding paint matched. It's worse. It makes the wheels and tires look tiny. The cladding actually shrinks the look of the body.
This actually doesn't look awful. Still weird how the rear bumper sticks out those few inches but I think this definitely looks better.
Dad has always been a low key car guy, but just drove appliances to put money towards the family needs instead. He retires in a few weeks and while we drove up moving M and so to Oregon he mentioned finally getting himself a fun car. Blackwing is on his list

Appliances to Blackwing is a humongous jump.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

Seriously. @sawcebro is he still in SD? Porsche vert would be so choice IMO.

Huge jump for sure. I doubt he does it, he’s always been an old ‘Stang guy, wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up in a late 60’s Mach 1.
Not SD, I grew up in the desert, he’s in Lancaster for now. Planning on selling both CA properties and settling down somewhere with no retirement income.

RIGHT. Can't believe I forgot that. A Blackwing would be a good car for the desert

Yeah the rear end is all that needs to be updated. They’ll probably fix it with a mid cycle refresh in like 3 years.
Shame about the automatic being a CVT too.
I don’t mind it otherwise. I’d consider one if I were in the market for a stickshift little car.

Lots of open roads to cruise out there. Your bro still out there? How’s he adjusting to it?

He is. He's adjusting well and has started going hiking and camping with a couple coworkers so he's been throwing around the idea of a cheap SUV or truck so he can actually get to camping spots. His fiesta doesn't do that very well.
And his roommate who owns the house just had fresh sod laid down in the back so he has a little green to look at now too.

Noice. As long as you mind a simple life, it’s not a bad place to be by any means. And you’re close enough to Hollywood/LAX for when you do want to go do city shit.
I’ve heard it thrown around a couple of times outside here but 99% certain it originated with our group. We made our very small, pretty useless mark on the world.

Yea who originated it first... It think it was me. And the man from the desert upped it to "terrorist spec" when it comes to s I believe.

I thought it was our guy from the dead zone who had a 320i, but
This was a good video overall. I wonder if these will be the last iterations of these vehicles.
I’m surprised Subaru didn’t make the WRX ride smoother this time around. Funny enough, I like the concept of the WRX but I’d prefer an automatic in my next car and something that doesn’t ride as rough. The Outback gets better fuel mileage and has the same drivetrain but rides epic smooth so it’s actually more attractive to me overall.
Nate. We're funny guys. It's our contribution to world linguistics.
That guy was a real character, and a good writer. Max got him to stop by here for a bit a couple years ago but he's been awol since.
I tried he was a real character. As far as I know he got the big D and has a new squeeze and two kiddos with the exxx. Rolling deep in the 328 m sport he bought out

And CVT is the only way to get Recarbros and the suspension.
I'm curious what the actual sales numbers are for CVT WRX's. Who buys them?
