Saw my first Mk8 in the wild today when I went to vote. I liked it. I think it has some definite Mk6 styling overtones such as the character line down the flanks that disappears into the taillight lenses, just like the Mk6. The weird face didn't even bother me that much. It was some sort of Nardo-type grey which looked IMO.

Exterior looks good cuz it looks same since 2005 lol I don’t like the new base wheels tho… they should really bring back the trashcan wheels

The daddy V wagon brought only 64k. Damn I thought it would be a lot higher than that. I should have gotten that + the I3 and parked 30k in bank.

You're still on this Mk5=Mk6=Mk7=Mk8 kick. They don't all rook same
For me, this is the looks ranking:
Mk6--->Mk7.5------>Mk7--------->Mk8--------------->Mk5

7.5 interior is the best IMO. New infotainment but not haptic buttons everywhere.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

Blackwing knocked these cars down a bit.
Black wing is like 100k and not a wagon. Cadillac will likely never make a wagon again. Imo 64k was an absolute steal for whoever got that car.
It’s weird other Versions went for 80ish maybe it was the mods ? But they seemed reversible and minor

My opinion is that the CT5 BW knocked 20% off the value of 2nd gens no matter the body style.
For the last 7 years the 2nd gen V was the last manual transmission CTS-V. Now you can get the blackwing so these are just 15 year old performance cars. Yes the wagon is rare, hence why it sold for $64k and not 35-40 like a sedan.

BW base is 90k, now imagine seeing a CTS-V wagon for 80k and thinking it's worth 90% the price of the brand new car. Wagon or not the market has shrunk.

It looks like this gen is super polarizing eh? I still really don't mind it... but it seems like you're either or absolute
So much hate for cooling

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

I've reflexively made the face every time I've seen one coming at me in person. The same is true of the 2022 WRX, except that's been from any angle, not just from the front.

I think the WRX would be alright if they cleaned up the rear bumper and got rid of the cladding. Looks like it's wearing a diaper.
Who looked at that and thought it was a good idea?
I've seen the new WRX with the cladding paint matched. It's worse. It makes the wheels and tires look tiny. The cladding actually shrinks the look of the body.
