Sorry to hear it man. I'd definitely see the best heart doctor available, better to get after anything as early as possible.
OT 20: rotisserie roller coaster
I am also on the bidet train it's the only way to live. Saves TP as well.
This has been quite a busy week in Tampa and Orlando, looking forward to heading home this afternoon but overall it's been pretty from a work perspective. Definitely some good s in the works with some major low voltage companies down here. I will likely return to the area in pretty short order.
Currently catching up on some computer shit as my meeting for 11 AM cancelled, but getting to eat at a Cuban cafe
I am also going to update my hot take on Orlando. I was shitting on it fairly heavily a few weeks ago, I have found it to be rather dece this trip. The downtown is quite nice and prices on food/drink here are also quite a bit cheaper than Charlotte.

yea, i know it's a great way to build wealth so I'm down with it, but trying to be smart. Hot water heater still leaking but is at least ordered now, and the tenets were putting 'flushable wipes,' which as we know are indeed not flushable, down the shitter and clogged the sewer pump. They caught a charge for it this time. Yes this is the second time. Knowing what I do now they prob killed the first pump too at a cost of 2700+. Wife wants to keep deposit based on this, I'm less sure about that personally as it was old af..... but who knows what untold damage or shortening of life the new pump has now experienced since they been flushing that shit for who knows how long but prob since october when I had to have it replaced?
Tough because they are nice people and I feel a little bad for these olds are living in my shitty basement apartment, but man. I've had to have way too many discussions about bathroom habits and proper hygiene and that only water, shit, and TP go into the drains, period.
Anyway Elon is buying twitter and everyone seems very upset he might not censor stuff anymore, or that he might be transparent about the process.
I was hoping to find some time to fix my car this weekend, but looks like schedule is suddenly packed in. I'll have time to clean shed out and reclaim my screen porch today I hope.
Those flushable wipes shouldn't even be on the market, they are awful. The olds are going to have to lose their deposits with plumbing bills like the ones you're dealing with. If it were a one time issue that resolved itself that would be one thing, but these people keep flushing stuff that doesn't belong even after being told.
Landlording sucks here, too many laws that protect the renters and screw the owners. I couldn't do it unless I absolutely needed to support a property that was fairly run down already.
My nearish term options I am considering for future are:
1. Buy a rental type vacation property in the area. Thanks to Berkshire hathaway and zuk, I am priced out of townsend. Maybe walland. Ideally a favorite spot of mine that shall not be named. The intent here is to vacation rental with ability to take weekends not rented to mountains and block off for family 'staycations'. Would need a partner or two on this venture.
2. Build another rental building on my extra neighboring lot in town. Either a 2br with ensuites or two 1br's up and down stars. Reclaim the garage apt as garage. This sets me up to still be cashflow positive on the rentals from the start, and have passive income in ~15 years.
3. do 'nothing' major and stack cash for a beat. Seems dumb with inflation, but maybe not with 10%= feds funds rate? With this option i still will need another shed/workshop for ~5-10k.
dang sorry to hear man. doc have anything to say about it?

What are your plans for the bolded? I'm considering buying a shed in the neighborhood of 2-3X the size of the current one. I'd kind of like a cement floor instead of rotting wood, thinking of getting a walkway paved to it as well. This would be yard shit storage and a bike workshop of sorts. I don't think I'd like to build a garage on the current property, too likely that we will wind up leaving. It would also requiring destroying the patio/outdoor area, which is our favorite part of the house.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:54 amyea, i know it's a great way to build wealth so I'm down with it, but trying to be smart. This shed plan would allow for the smaller utility room on the patio to be all car tools and such which would make working on cars in the carport less inconvenient and would allow for bike shit as well. Not perfect, but a dece enough compromise for me to be satisfied.

since my lot is very not level where it has to go, I'd have to put it on peirs. I was just going to get one of those prefab buildings and build out workshop, probably a 8x10 or 10x10. will probably do small solar setup for fans and lights and power, won't need much out there really and tools can trickle charge. She'd would be for same reasons, better use of house spaces in not using well.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:06 amWhat are your plans for the bolded? So I learned today that a few conditions :trigger: the old ticker, and a couple of things bring it back to normal.
1. Driving, even relaxed casual driving increases pinching around my heart
2. Inflammatory diet or abuse, alcohol, having a smoke or whatever, certain foods all cause a flair up
Advil, apparently it is an anti-inflammatory drug, so I have tried tylenol (pain killet), aspirin (blood thinner), advil (anti-inflammatory), and it is the third one that brings things under control.
Just some food for thought I guess. I'm trying to understand my condition better before going to see specialists, as I think the info is valuable to help diagnose what's happening there. Good thing is that I haven't had any close calls, it's all just been varying degrees of discomfort, so I feel like there's lots of time to get to the bottom of things. The bad thing is, that once I report this problem to my family doctor the life insurance agencies will catch wind of the problem and add it to my exclusions list next time I need to renew my 10 yr term policy. "Sorry, but we won't cover you for anything heart related because you went to see your doctor about a heart problem in 2022."

Forgot yesterday was Easter. Normally we’d have done a roast or something and cooked dinner together. Hit a sushi spot instead. We had tried one last week and it was just okay. This place was priced similarly, but much better flavor and way more actual fish in the rolls. I hit two tuna rolls, a yellowfin with green onions, a salmon roll, a salmon and avaocado roll, then the chefs choice sashimi 12 piece platter. Michelle had two of their specialty rolls and said both were great. We may experiment with a few other places, but I’d be perfectly happy always using this place as our go-to up here.

I am pretty about Easter but went over to my parent's house for lunch and hung out with the family.
All in all was a nice weekend, had some dranks out Friday, went mountain biking, did yard work, and had some friends over for dinner Saturday. Yesterday did the family stuff, bike ride, some work around the house.

We enjoy inviting MJ along for meals with us, and prefer not to be in public after that, so we’ve just been grabbing our food to go and then getting home and eating from the comfort of our couch in an appropriately impaired state.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 1:46 pmWe ate out at a Thai restaurant like the presently childless, petless, family free heathen scum that we are.SAWCE wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 1:18 pm Forgot yesterday was Easter. Wife flew into Detroit Saturday from 2 weeks in California. We drove home yesterday morning, forgot it was Easter, and found EVERYTHING closed. All the way up north, nothing was open. We found a hotel doing Easter dinner, so we went there and I had some epic prime rib but I forgot how important zombie Jesus day is to everyone other than corporate employers.

I felt bad about that before we left SD… dude and his wife had moved down from outside of Seattle (Bremerton, she works in the ship repair industry) met him/them at the gym and hit it off. Michelle and I took them out to dinner to our favorite SD sushi place. He loves sushi, she was just trying to get into it. She ended up getting sick from something (nobody else did, so might have been something else she ate that day), and apparently hasn’t tried sushi again since. Whoops.

Especially someone who's not that into it, it's HAS TO hit or it'll miss big time. I used to be really on the fence with sushi. When I first tried sushi in college in East Lansing, MI, I didn't care for it and wrote it off for years. It took me moving to CA and meeting a chick I wanted to bang who wanted sushi to get me to try it again, and I've been into it ever since (didn't bang the chick tho).
