I hate them, always have. No need to go above 18. 17 usually has the perfect wheel to sidewall ratio IMO.

Wife said it's still $7+ in California, so it seems really regional? I found a receipt from the last time I filled up 3 weeks ago, and I paid $4.10 at the local station, which is usually .05-.10 more than Costco. It sure seems prices are rather stable, and high $3, low $4 is totally reasonable IMO.

I suck at taking car photos, but I couldn't help when I parked at the barbershop and the wall was the same color as the truck...
While I was getting my hairs cut, a dude in a 4Runner Limited pulled up, jumped out, snapped a pic of my truck, and left. Must have noticed the same thing I bet his photo was better than mine.

It’s not $7+ it’s basically mid 5s most places for donkey piss. You gotta shop around though some places do try and fleece.Detroit wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 1:18 pmWife said it's still $7+ in California, so it seems really regional? interest might wane a bit as boomers go away but of my car guy friends (including here and in NC), most of whom are 28-45 age, at least half still love this stuff. One of my younger friends who now owns a C6 had a nova for years and works at Detroit Speed. Another dude owned the POS 68 C3 I’ve mentioned, paid big bucks for it. My closest friend who has a Boss 3bro2 really wants a 60s Mustang and/or 60s truck/van/wagon.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:12 pm It is interesting to see the staying power. I would argue that the FIRST FF really added jet fuel to the muscle car era back in 1999... AN ENTIRE GENERATION AGO (let that one sink in). I actually don't think boomers own these, some yes, but quite a few younger (then) dudes got into these as well and are continuing to cherish them. It is clear that these cars have transcended 3 generations now and STILL have major interest and staying power.
And wholeheartedly agree on the Charger being one the best looking muscle cars.
I also love a 440 Challenger
I also love a good bullit replica
I personally think they look cool but have zero interest in owning something like that. If I’m going to have to wrench frequently, give me something that at least drives better than a four cylinder Cammie. I love looking at muscle cars at C&C but most are still very common in this area.

Though for me it would probably be something along the lines of either an early 911 (not muscle at all LOL) or something funky like an RX-3 (muscle-y but not really?). Never been much of an actual muscle car guy.

Truth be told I’d just get a first gen NSX. But I appreciate a muscle car resto mod, I’ve seen some really cool/fast ones at track days.

Basically that trucking industry severely abuses drivers, not everything is rose tinted, for example some drivers do lease to own deals with big transit companies and end up owing them money every month, or they bank $150k as owner operators and oftentimes only keep $15-20k.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:30 amcliffs? Trucking shortage is not because of demand but because of insanely high turnover. When they say we added 100k new trucking jobs it’s often because they lost 100k+
Etc etc
