I’d love to plac this land boat. At least it’s comfortable and rides very well.
Car Talk 5: The Juice is Loose!
Have you checked Carvana? Might be able to get back whatever you paid for it right now

Seriously. This is the once in a lifetime automotive mulligan opportunity.
Challenge is finding something to replace it with.

Yea, but I've heard they've come back down recently. I'll be getting another offer from Carvana before accepting the $34k one on the 8th. I suspect it'll be quite a bit lower.

There is no way they will lose anything less than 5k on your ordeal, pickup fees, reconditioning, and holding it for 1-3 months

I mean, it's doing exactly what we need/want it to. So
I just don't like it. Lisa is happy with it so whatever. I think we will dump it in 2-3 years because the infotainment system is completely illogical and massively frustrating to use. It also doesn't get its advertised MPG nor make its advertised horsepower.
It drives alright enough, rides comfy, lots of space, hauls the family around like a champ. So its fine. It's just slow, stupid looking, and annoying to use.

Yea just dumb… they seem to mark up the sport trim the most … glitch in the matrix.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:04 pmThis is literally Chris's car down to color, mileage, and trim... https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/2058449max225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 12:59 pm

Exactly. I expect the offer to be closer to $30k, making the $34k deal an aberration. They will absolutely lose money on my car.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 12:59 pmThere is no way they will lose anything less than 5k on your ordeal, pickup fees, reconditioning, and holding it for 1-3 months

Though, my car has 9k miles less than this one. Still...
https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/2118614
That's $700 more than my offer expiring on the 8th. NFW they can pick up my car, take it to wherever, do whatever they do, then sell it at this price for a profit.

Oh wow, this is pretty much exactly the same. They're already losing money with my offer.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:04 pmThis is literally Chris's car down to color, mileage, and trim... https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/2058449max225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 12:59 pm

And let’s not forget they won’t be able to retail your car until 2022 or so… as you will drag out the trade inDetroit wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:30 pmOh wow, this is pretty much exactly the same. They're already losing money with my offer.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:04 pm

This is all that matters for a vehicle like this IMO.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 1:05 pm I mean, it's doing exactly what we need/want it to. SoI just don't like it. Yea, I'm really curious what they offer next week. Though, it seems like the Sport trim is a glitch, so

We are headed to St. Petersburg for a few days at the end of this month for our anniversary. I thought it might be cool to have a car to do some exploring. A basic rental is like $400 for three days. I looked at Turo, cheapest ones are $300 which isn't terrible but not great either.
I see a bunch of BMW 3 series for $150-300/day. I'm kind of tempted to throw the CuckWagon up there and see if I can get $150 a day. That is
but
if it's worth ruining the car for it either.

0/7 would offer my car up on Turo.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 2:14 pm We are headed to St. Petersburg for a few days at the end of this month for our anniversary. Not only does it run a high risk of being destroyed, the liability aspect makes me

The main issue is accidents... They happen quite a bit. Also that's how most turo "superhosts" make money on the thing. If you're willing to throw the car away this is the way to go.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 2:14 pm We are headed to St. Petersburg for a few days at the end of this month for our anniversary. You also likely have to deal with getting to><from airports. It greatly increases your rental chances.
CLT is like 10 minutes from my house... I could easily drop the car and catch a cab back for $20... that sounds like a big waste of timemax225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 2:16 pmThe main issue is accidents... They happen quite a bit. Maybe when I start traveling for work, I'll offer it up on days it would be sitting at the airport anyway.
Man, Beep Beeps are like $400+/day.
