At one of my early jerbs in CA, I worked with this tool manager guy who loved BMWs. Every stereotype covered. He'd come to every meeting a few minutes late...and always say "sorry I'm late" while sitting down, and simultaneously putting his keys on the table, making sure everyone could see the BMW fob, roundel up every time.
I think I'm kinda done with front wheel drive as a whole, unless it's separated as a daily/winter beater.Detroit wrote:That BS E-LSD thing really only helps under cornering.
I also put my keys on the table, since I keep it in my pocket. But the difference is, I "show" off the buttons and not the logo. I did have one asian girl thought my mk6 keys (aka typical vw fob) that it was a BMWDetroit wrote:Because most people that buy those things want to show off the key. The "real one" is an electronically controlled locker. It's one wheel peel unless the computer tells it otherwise, which is under cornering mostly.

When I tried to sell my MK6, I met a dude who was really into GTI's. He actually worked for the supplier that made the diff. It's not a conventional mech LSD. It runs as an open diff the vast majority of the time, but then can lock when the computer tells it to. According to that dude, it was mostly under cornering.[user not found] wrote:The Performance Pack car did for 2015/2016.maxtdi wrote:
Wait a min last I checked the mk7 got a mechanical one ?!
And for 2017 everything but the 'base' GTI does. Sport, SE, and Autobahn now come with the extra power and LSD.

Unless you work for a car company. Then drive what they make, or kiss the promotion goodbye, or at least some of the paint.[user not found] wrote:maxtdi wrote:

It has color, it is also pretty sharp and it has a much brighter image. But meh... I still think it is gimmycky, I never used it in my C5.Tarspin wrote:HUD features have improved significantly since 2005 GM days, dat GPS. Will be nice to see even more advancement eventually.
