I agree, I know some are still shopping these... I’m just trying to keep my fellow car friends sane.

My e46 required valve adjustments every 30k miles also, on top of 10w60 stupid ass oil, failing vanos, and rod bearings.

These engines are an absolute menace to maintain RIGHT (near Zillspec) sure you can run 5w30 super tech and give 0 fucks for 20-30k miles also.

Which is what most people that buy these with 70-80k miles do, which is why they end up trashed.

The problem is that except for the V10 they don't make race engine POWER. Fragile "race" engines should make way more horsepower than some truck motor a guy in Detroit put a hot cam and some ported heads on but NOPE. The four taillights on Gandalf are fading out of sight in the straightway whilst some bro's "racing" BMW engine is melting down on him and his color matched Rolex.

Solid point from the man of the desert.

However the V10 sounds like an F1 car... dare I say one of the best sounding engines ever made? Also they are not "that slow" as indicated here.

As mentioned I mopped the floor with numerous M3s last weekend at Road Atlanta in my $10K :truk: motor shitbox with Walmart Mobil 1 in it. And yes, the clutch is having issues after 120K miles, but it has proven to be quite robust. This is why I'm where I am, I want an M car, I really do, but I just can't bring myself to commit.

Thing is... I’m just not really ready to commit to dropping $35k. That is a lot of money and I’m not really sure if it’s what I need. I am honestly more concerned about test driving some other, different cars first. I know what a Corvette drives like. If I feel like I can enjoy something like a FoRS just as much, I think I’d rather go that route.

I doubt I will and could see ending back up at a Corvette, but I need to explore the options. They aren’t exactly rare, if that one sells, there will be more.

Also, in my defense, that is an hour from here, so it is at least half a day of :bs: to get a 10 minute test drive.
