Pro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. It took me probably 50-100 hours of hunting to get an appointment but it was worth it, plus I got paid $6 to deliver some guy a $12 taco bell order. Very essential work.Detroit wrote:You do you boo. In PA, you just have to be a smoker. Maybe NJ now too?
In CT you can be "overweight" based on BMI.

I'm not sure how I feel about self inflicted reasons to stand in line in front of me. Not that it matters.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:39 pmPro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. I was considering taking up smoking/obesity but found another way fortunately. I had my first round of the Pfizer last week.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:39 pmPro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. I think in PA, if you have smoked 20 cigs EVER... total... you qualify as high risk.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:39 pmPro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. In NJ I haven’t been able to get an appointment yet. I was hoping to get vaccinated before my surgery in a couple weeks, but even having surgery scheduled does me no favors.

Is that the follow up on your arm?fledonfoot wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:23 pmI think in PA, if you have smoked 20 cigs EVER... total... you qualify as high risk.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:39 pm Pro-tip: In NY, uber/lyft/doordash drivers were deemed "essential" as of 2/15. Yeah. I’m getting all of the hardware removed, a chunk of scar tissue pulled out, a tweak to a tendon, and then getting a bunch of the excess bone growth ground away in the hope that we can get me from 80% range of motion to near 95%. Recovery has stalled and there’s not much more it can go.wap wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:42 pmSurgery? Is that the follow up on your arm?fledonfoot wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:23 pm

The hardware is somewhat painful and in the way. I hate the way the plate feels as I have very skinny arms. Pulling it out now has no real downsides, so the plan is for him to put me under, get it all out, and do whatever he needs to do.

Hey man, good luck to you. Surgery always sucks, as we both know, but it sounds like you'll feel much better after it's done. Be sure to let us know how it goes.
