Looks quite
Is this from a drive through wash? I have really embraced the auto wash in my 30s, in very anti-DesertBreh fashion. I took the through the other week and got a compliment on how good it looks
1,000 rock chips, scratches, etc so whatever, at least it's shiny. I would be doing the same in Chicago winter over washing my car in the 7F temps.
this is why I can't have nice things.

I would and did sing a different tune on automatic washes if/when I lived in snowy climes. We are at the beginning of spring here, which is my OFG period for car cleanliness because every time I do wash, some weather change arrives with wind, dusting my work with 1/5 of the desert floor.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:33 amLooks quite

No, this was a hand wash at my when they took care of my airbag and blind spot/rear collision malfunction lights last week. They would normally offer a mechanical wash but I declined that because of the tow hook license plate mount so they hand washed it. Didn't find that out until I picked it up so it was a nice surprise.
I took my through my local drive through ZFG a few times a year. I to be Zilspec for my ( :albeit ) justacar. I mean, I hand washed and occasionally waxed it too, and kept the interior looking pretty new. But ultimately, it was murdered by fucking Stuart so what would have been the point of keeping the tail lights mud-free in the long run? The interior affects my day to day much more so I spend more time on that.
True confession: I've never clay barred a car.
I know but

You got the car for free Ron. You can have everything you want in an egg if you spend dickswinging money like Mario and Gberg.

Save your $$$, in the end the feels just like any GTI and I forget about half the features that it includes, and never miss any that aren't equipped. I do like the dimming frameless mirror from [user not found]'s MODZ site.wap wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:14 pmDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:05 pm

Yea a is overkill for me. Don't need or what many of the geegaws it comes with, DCC and whatnot. And I've gotten by in more Chicago winters than most of you have been on this earth just fine with FWD.
I do the interior myself and do hand wash/wax when time allows, but I am feeling good that I have become OK with drive throughs as a supplemental means to keep things looking dece.wap wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 10:37 amThanks.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:33 am
