Attn. fellow Mk7 peeps. Just noticed today that I don't have a compass in my MFD. Does anybody know if it can be activated via VCDS, OBD11, or Carista?

I'm fixing to buy the yearly subscription to my Carista to tinker with some things. I'll investigate and let you know.

I have the analog gayges but my steering wheel has a multi page icon on the RHS that gives me display options like Nav but I'm seeing directional compass, NE for example, on most pages.

Yea I don't seem to have that option.

TBH, I haven’t looked yet today. Worked all day and back in at 3AM, I’ll check quick when I leave for work in the morning and report back.

So, it is an option on the mk7 Jetta. I didn’t enable it because I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to load my password manager and actually purchase the Carista Pro to made the edit.

I have yet to play with AA. I downloaded the ap but haven't actually tried it yet. I'll have to do that soon.

I'm 99.9% sure that the mk7 Jettas have an MIB2 HU, which should be the same HU you have in the Rabbit.

They require Carista Pro (with is just a subscription) to make modifications. You get a month for free when you buy the Carista dongle (for 29.99). Carista Pro is $39.99 a year or $9.99 for a one week access after the free trial.

Compass shows up in my MFD, but says it isn’t available. So that’s a no go.

Same. Although, I kind of expected it.

Weirdly enough, I can’t get my convenience windows to roll down with the remote.

Rolls up with remote just fine, can’t get them to roll down.
