I’ve never heard of any issues in Europe so I believe it worked well.
It'll be interesting to see what the 2 untouched cylinders look like after some more mileage. Plenty of motors lasting into 100k miles with minimal of any issues. Unless there is some odd golf R issue threats specific to this platform

Some manufacturers here are finally learning and doing both direct and port injection though. GayPR sells a port injection kit for the R but I don't know how you go about getting that tuned to work right.

They are made in Hungary. It's gotta be cost.
