There are many beer nerds on this site, but i'm the first to start a thread! This will be a place for fellow snobs to share experiences, and for normal folk to heap ridicule on our $15 hazy double ipas.
When I go to the beer store, I spend unfortunate amounts of time looking for good beer that I've not had before. Sometimes I leave empty handed. Not today!
The Perpetual was a filler purchase, but is a damn fine beer. Everything else is new to me.

this last week I've been drinking A LOT of Einstök beer. They have a Toasted Porter that is a solid 4.57/7 - It's like chocolate toffee butter, and their white ale is 1.9/2 tits. I have a sixer of their pale ale to open next.

Don't think I've ever seen an imperial oktoberfest before. Only in America.
It was good, reminded me of some stronger maibocks I've had.

Yeah. Perpetual is good. Troegenator.... eh.... And I don't like Mad Elf. Come at me hipsters.[user not found] wrote:I'm a big fan of Perpetual - probably my favorite of all of Troeg's lineup.
My biggest disappointment was Troegenator.

Interesting. After several sips I liked it, but the pine was too strong.

Also had Growl, a quad by Off Color brewing, last night.
It was good, but not amazing.

I have a sixer of that in my fridge. Perfect early fall beer.[user not found] wrote:Had a bit of Bell's Best Brown Ale tonight - almost stouty in flavor and texture, but not too heavy. I actually enjoyed it.
