Oh its great on my home computer with 16 gig ram. On my work computer with 4.....
work is getting me a new desktop because they have screwed up so many installations on my current one. Everything is broken. They can't even remote into it anymore.
Nice. Every single time internet explorer tries to view a pdf, I get an error message saying adobe can't open it, and it needs to open on IE, and then it just doesn't, because the error message interrupted whatever backwards fuckaround it was trying to do.
I asked IT to get us new computers for this year. They bought 2. And are "piloting" them on 2 of my people. To make sure they're buying the right things. That was 6 months ago, so computer specs will be changing yet again. They have a 60 year old should-be-retired guy that can't walk doing their IT purchasing.
My computer is from 2014. It can no longer run AutoCad.

I don't understand what's so hard about it. Buying computers should be an easy thing. But the bloat. We're running windows 7 what's windows up to now, 10? they haven't figured out how to port over all our old ass programs to the new OS.
This is the same company that leases 12 year old trucks that have holes in them from rust.

In the theater waiting for A Star is Born.
How was it?
A solid 4/7 for me. Gaga was really good. She can act and she can really sing. Cooper was ok. Dave Chapelle and Andrew Dice Clay (as her dad) were really good in their small rolls. The whole thing was a bit maudlin for me and some of it just didn't ring true, or plausible. I don't think it should win best picture or anything but it was certainly worth the $5 I paid to see it.
There was actually a couple sitting next to me who walked out in the middle of it.

IE is the only one that works with our intranet. I use chrome for all else.

That's seriously fucking impressive.
I've learned a few work around for endless crashing. I let the crashed program run its crashed state in background then can sometimes launch a new instance and sometimes it works. But yeah. Its impressive, so much that the IT group in Manilla just stopped trying and were like use your local guy. Sadly he is a
