Ordered a new seatpost collar for the road bike. Salsa Lip Lock. Hopefully that keeps the god damn seatpost from slipping. The stock Cervelo clamp is bottomed out on itself and bending the bolt. As such, every ride it creaks and drops a few mm's. That is so fucking annoying it's not funny.
We'll see. I might get rid of this bike. Once the new wheels come in for the crosser and I get a chance to ride it with road slicks we'll make that call.

I'm probably out anyway. I forgot it's sportsball sundays now.

Update: Cervelo apparently uses a proprietary clamp on my model year for who the hell knows reasons. Seatpost is a standard 27.2mm, but the OD of the seat tube itself is some fucked up D shape. Great.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 10:17 am Ordered a new seatpost collar for the road bike. Salsa Lip Lock. Hopefully that keeps the god damn seatpost from slipping. So since the clamp was bottomed on itself, I dremeled the opening larger so I could get more compression on it and greased the bolt. If this slips, the bike is gone.
Excited to try the steel bike with the fat 32mm slicks I bought for it.

I spread that sandy all over it. Finish Line paste. I guess I could rough the thing up with sandpaper next.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 9:46 amYou using any carbon paste?Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 9:41 am

People actually hunt deer along the MTB trails?
You'd think the deer would steer clear of the trails because of all the noise. Nox is always jammed when we go.
Come to think of it, I've never seen one there.
True. They're pretty stupid.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 12:27 pmYou'd think they'd steer clear of roads too with that logic.

New Warbirds
Friend of mine has one. As capable as my bike and a lot lighter. Good buy for anyone who wants a gravel rig. This, Ibis Hakka, and SC Stigmata lead the carbon gravel pack IMO.

Wifey did a Liv clinic with them in the spring. One of their owners (Jess) is a Liv ambassador and just won a 24 hour endurance race.
I can ride Saturday.Johnny_P wrote:Saucon Valley Bikes has Giant Trances, an Anthem Advanced Hilighter, the full Santa Cruz lineup, and some Pivot Trail429 and such all in stock. Road trip?
