All sounds like a bunch of bullshit excuses to me.
Why is the world would anyone ever have to make two trips to buy a car? Put a desposit down with the dealership to have them acquire the car, get whatever signature is necessary for the title work, get pre-approved for financing if not going through the dealership, notify your insurance agent on what date the coverage will need to switch, then go to the dealer and do the transaction.
The Grand Touring being sold is fucking irrelevant. Any dealer can trade with another to get whatever car you're looking for.
Even when Zil had the best , still wouldn't give him the business because of some perceived but very made up road blocks. It's all rather .
I literally did all of this and I have never bought a car before; in 2 days before I actually drove to [user not found] to get the GTI. I even coordinated the logistics of flying my dad in so he can come with me and handle the GTI lease turn-in formalities.
I didn’t put a deposit down but [user not found] had already put a sold sticker on the car while we were running approval numbers.
[user not found] can vouch that I was more concerned and annoying toward him regarding making the work than shopping around my local 5 VW so they could match the deal.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.
YOUR SHOES?!? You think YOU'RE the victim here? Dude. WHAT THE FUCK.
He will always be the victim, throughout his entire life under any difficult circumstances. That’s how he’s wired.
I blame his batshit mom and sister for continuing to enable him

Crang: Hey Z, I'd love to buy from you but I'm concerned about driving my timebomb down there and back if it takes two trips.
[user not found]: I got you fam. Drive it down and grab a loaner for a day or two to get everything situated. Drive back down and roll out in your new whip.

Even if he wasn't going to buy the car that day I bet Zil would have helped out with a loaner or a ride in the magic school bus to avoid two trips in the gti

I messed up.
Do you ever get tired of saying this? I don’t understand how you continuously screw over people who want to help you and blindly not follow good, well-intentioned advice? It boggles my mind.

And what happened to this kid having $20k+ in his savings like 3 years ago?

You should go to another and get them from there, even though fled said he’d help you out.

Probably still has it. It's for emergencies or something.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Getting out of a wallet raping car isn't an emergency?
Seems like he likes to follow all that ridiculous financial advice about having massive cash hoards always in reserve for "just in case" something. Like job loss or whatever. From what I've read, other things like car should be dealt with without touching "emergency funds".
