My manager is incredibly laid back. He believes in a low stress environment, treating the customer right, and none of the forced sales schtick I had to deal with at BMW.
Should’ve done this months ago.
Sounds like a great situation for you. I'm sure you'll thrive there.

I don't understand anything anymore.
I'm back in the swing of things at work and not off to a great start. The older boy's March break, and staying at the parents house until our place is liveable again has forced me to start at 9am, but I was slated to work an hour out of town so I don't get there until 10am... two hrs too late !

I like Mazda, they seem like a nice brand to be affiliated with. Congrats [user not found]!

This is me looking longingly from my cube at BMW....

You could really take your skills to many other dealers in the area. Or gun it for a position at corporate.
They don't really seem to believe in a BDC at my store (and I'm OK with that).
Get out of BMW.
It's not needed at a smaller store with good salesmen. If I can't get into corporate I'm considering finding a floor position at store. I have the work ethic to make things happen for myself.

Had a great networking opportunity at a wargaming simulation at my former university’s DC campus. Met new people and connected with old classmate/mentors/professors. Tomorrow there’s a reception and we will have about 10 federal government agency representatives there. Should be fun

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.
Review went well today. Bosslady is putting me in for a 4% raise.
Rather compared to
Edit: We chatted about my upward movement and the one position she mentioned before is on hold for the time being. I'm not terribly surprised by that though.
But, we have good plans for broadening my skill set in both sales and product mangement. Overall, plenty of good things coming my way.

4% is nothing to scoff at.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Not at all, much better than the 2.5% I was expecting to be told. Nothing should change from here until it goes into place, so

Passed part one of my CCNA (cisco cert) today and have an interview with and electric company tomorrow. Could be a big week for the career for me.
Good luck!

I'd love a 4% raise.

Off to a good start! This is encouraging. How many CX5's have you sold already? Mazda is kind of like Mini in that people tend to seek them out because zoom zoom driving fun and manuals offered in many models. So the clientele should be markedly different than the BMW badge whores.
I should come hoon a Miata. Wait, no, because then I'd want it.

Test drives are free, bro.
Come up, drive a Miata.
Manuals are pretty limited, doe. Can only get a stick on the Sport & Touring trims of the Mazda 6, all trims of the Miata, and all trims of the Mazda 3. No manual in the CX3 (what a shame), CX5 (would be neat), or CX9 (who cares).
Still, Mazda does prioritize driving fun, which is awesome and why I support the brand.
1st car sold and delivered and done as of last night. 2015 CPO Mazda 6.

Someone on here should have an ND. I'd wait and see about the horsepower increase though. 180 HP in an ND would be pretty damn sweet.

That would be ideal. ND would be one of the worst cars for me to purchase given my current situation.
I have yet to even sit in an ND. I should change that at some point. It's a little rich for me . I'm not sure if I'll really fit either. The S2000 felt very cramped for a dude my size.
