Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough

I quit drinking about 45 days ago cold turkey but when I wanted bourbon, I went Four Roses small batch. Very good for the price.
The difference between it and the expensive stuff isn't worth the price to me.
I gave my mother in law a bottle of George T Stagg that I'd been saving one night after I'd been drinking. Huuuge mistake. She drank it like it was a bottle of common booze.

Makers taste too smokey for my taste. Their distillery is 1b to Woodford Reserve 1a as far as cool factor[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2018 8:06 pm Drinking Makers Private Select for PA liquor stores.
There is a Bourbon Festival the 3rd weekend on September every year in a town called Bardstown, KY. It's located centrally to most of the good distillers. It's worth doing if you're into that sort if thing.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 6:57 amI need to do some distillery visits. I've only ever done ones local to me and a few in Ireland.

Had some of this tonight with a bit of ice. It's even better when it's chilled.[user not found] wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2017 5:36 pmNice! I'll add her to the list!wap wrote:
Cracked this bottle tonight. First impressions are as follows:
Interesting, full, complex flavor. Almost creamy mouth feel. Really bold. I want to pour some in my coffee Saturday morning. Can officially recommend.
, have you picked up a bottle yet?

I switched to vodka to save money. Current favorite is Sobieski, from Polish rye. $19/1.75L, also it doesn't take much to get when you keep your calorie intake low.

I've heard that but never tried it. I actually like this stuff regardless of price.

I heard that too, but just toughed it out and drank the gasoline like stuff. I wasn't about to spend money on a filter that could buy another 2 bottles.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 8:35 pm I've heard that but never tried it. I actually like this stuff regardless of price.
