Co-developed between Ford and Chevy though. IDK. If they both agreed on the design it can't be that bad.Detroit wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:24 pm Interesting, so it is mostly nostalgia.
I'm curious to hear about how it drives. I'm still on the 10 speed...seems like its too many gears, but we'll see.
The truck does look nice. Though, I wonder if it'll be neutered at all to keep the F150 sales up. I could see midsize trucks replacing full size in general consumer popularity. They just much easier to live with.

I really like the 8 speed in my truck. I feel like 8 speeds might be the sweet spot. Lots of great 8 speeds out there too.

Drove a F450 cube van today. Usually I get the GM version but this thing was with a little snow on the ground. I could get the back end almost sideways NFG
I didn't check but it must have the turbro that failed in DGriffs unit. If i were actually buying one I'd go with the GM doe

Interior looks maybe a bit busy and on the Honda solid wing face but not bad overall. I bet that interior is quite nice in person and from the pics it absolutely demolishes the F150 and new Silverado. Pics at least. Ram trucks have always had decent looking interiors that are full of playskool plastics. So we'll see I guess. But the integration of that screen is a HELL of a lot better than anyone else is doing.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 12:29 am New Ram 1500 design unveiled as well:
Looks like it gets a Tesla-style touchscreen, too:

Front clip of the old one looked better.
48 volt mild hybrid sounds interesting, probably a better solution than turbo engines.

Gun locker under the rear carpet
I like the Rebel. Interior has a Wrangler Rubicon feel to it with the red accents.
Wonder if you can debadge the RAM thing on the tailgate...

on the RAM. I need to see one in person before passing final judgement. That interior looks awfully busy, and the outside looks like a worse Chinese knock-off version of the prior model.

For a very long time I've felt that the RAM is a very budget truck that falls short of the market.
Couple this with these new electronics from FCA and it's a hard pass.

I helped my buddy get his eco diesel 1500. It is a great truck for what it is... I drove it plenty and spent 1000s of miles in it. Not sure I get the hate. The interior is pretty darn good. The ride quality is better than an S class and it gets the same mpg as my 335i while weighing double.
So far it has had 0 issues in 2 years and 25k miles. Can’t say the same about my lovely bmw
