ND is quick in the first 2-3 gears. It's torquey instead of sporty, but it's effective. They're especially quick with a header+tune.

The ND Miata gets to 60 in under 6 seconds according to mags, so probably mid 7's for a

I guess in a way I am lucky in that I hate the torquey power delivery of modern cars. Having zero interest in almost any brand new car keeps the options down to a minimum. I like... the 911 GT3, Huracan/R8, and that's about it.
ND is effective but not exciting IMO.

I want something that rockets from 0-40 and has power from 40-80 (passing), but that's about it.
The Model S power delivery is exactly what I want, TBH.

Me too. Would be perfect. I like my car but you gotta beat the piss out of it to get it to move. Model S is the perfect punch it and go mobile.

A Turbro engine with the Abarf sound should be 5/7 in that thing.

See that's the thing for me. It would seem to have an interesting personality with a turbro and Abarf noises. Eh, no matter. I'll probably never even see one, let alone drive one.

Come to Detroit. They're quite common with FCA being here.

It really is better to drive than that POS chrysler, an 8 speed slushbox that does not take ages to respond and NA motor. It almost reminds me of driving the 1999 c230 my parents used to have.
Nephew of a a few first gen immigrant on DFD, resident turk, and ex nazi egg lover now driving a middle class mom mobile.

I'm sure there's plenty around Chicago. Go test drive one or even better rent one on Turo.

The sound would be 5/7, but from what little I've read & watched about the Fiata that engine is all mid-range. I'd want a roadster I can wring out, not leave between 3-4k constantly to get that torque shove. Meh.
Despite them being heavier and rather expensive considering the age, I think it'd be S2000 or bust for me. ND would get a look, doe.

I had, and continue to have, no interest in any Miata or Fiata until the RF showed up. That's a sweet looking ride and I want one.

You'd think, but I just haven't seen any yet. I'm sure I will eventually, probably some time this spring.D Griff wrote: ↑Mon Jan 08, 2018 7:25 amwap wrote:

It's truly awesome looking. I just don't understand why it had to be so complex.
