Do you need something super practical or nah? Randomly stumbled upon this, I've always sort of had a thing for them.

That's downgrade over my car in a lot of ways. Older, less reliable, more maintenance required. Mine is worth around 27-28k it seems (any other color). I guess 32-33k because it is blue.

I wasn't joking about the IS350 FWIW. Buy for <$15k, drive until you can rent an autonomous pod, sell for $7500, do nothing but regular maintenance because NA Toyota.
They even have heated and cooled seats.

I kind of like the current gen. And could probably lease for what it’ll cost me to own an older is350 for 1-2 yearstroyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 8:29 pm I wasn't joking about the IS350 FWIW. Badass car.
What are your goals with the car though? What do you want it to do for you? Do you want fast highway GT car, or back road bomber, or luxury mobile? Or off road ability?

1. Something different from the bmw
2. Something that sounds good ?!
3. Off-road would be nice but that’s a different story
4. Something that won’t rob me in the next 12-18 months once I get tired of it. I have accepted my inner
I know I’m kind of all over the board but I am also not. I need something to commute in for now and something that I like. Jeep checks a lot of enthusiast boxes.
Low depreciation/ Running costs are key. Low to me means $5000 a year or less on maintenance and depreciation. For a special car like an RCF I’d be willing to go a bit higher 6000-7500. But that’s about my limit.
Now I also don’t really care for wrenching not because I’m lazy but simply because I don’t have the time.

Some additional food for thought... a used CPO RC-F is around 50k. which is the same price as Wrangler, new
RC-F's are very rare however, they are pretty difficult to find, so I'd have to make a color compromise.

I’m trying to see if I can lease a cpo. New lease is around $750 a month. Used should be cheaper ....troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 2:29 pm...and the RCF will be worth $30k after you drive it for a year.

I'd just drive the Crown Vic and then start a thread about how all of your coworkers and prospective AZNS and Siberian Princesses treat you when you drive a beater taxicab. That would be far more interesting to your fellow DFDers than a proper replacement. KTxBra.

All the better. Realtime from the ladies when you bust out your Excel Spreadsheet on operational costs and depreciation savings of the Crown Vic vs. the wasteful Reichshammer.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 2:41 pmSiberian princess is here btw .... dat high roller lyfe.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 2:37 pm I'd just drive the Crown Vic and then start a thread about how all of your coworkers and prospective AZNS and Siberian Princesses treat you when you drive a beater taxicab. Back to car talk...
RC-F seems only have one major issue, Bad fuel pumps...
Also Lexus warranty is "unlimited" miles for 6 years from production... so the only real worry would be depreciation...

It is indeed very similar but better in most ways (except for being way heavier).
High rpm V8 with 8 speeds vs high rpm V6 with 7 speeds, fantastic seats vs decent seats, etc.
Have you sat in RCF seats? You might not like them, they're pretty supportive.

I am not super fat torso wise, so I'd like to test it out...troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 3:05 pmIt is indeed very similar but better in most ways (except for being way heavier).

I think the RC-F is what... 3900lbs? vs 3300 in the Z, so it is literally directly proportional in terms of performance +30% power + 20% weight... or something along those lines.
My main issue was headroom in the regular RC for some reason I don't really fit well, I'd have to try again. Also... I suppose i should cross-shop M cars... they fall into the same price range... but i def want something different.

Yeah heavy depreciation is the killer, also fuel mileage but maybe nobody cares because fuel is basically free right now.

$46 grand for a relatively loaded 2015 used that was serviced exclusively by Lexus with under 14k miles on it, stickered for what $75k brand new? That's fucking brutal.

This is an interesting one... If the dude is willing to increase his "incentive" to 3k (up from $750). It would make it worth while... black doe... I'd prefer blue... but that's a search.
