Engineering degrees mean everything. I got mine from Trump University. It's the best. Believe me.

https://jalopnik.com/tesla-internal-qua ... 1820842222 --- Internal quality checks at Tesla have “routinely revealed” defects in more than 90 percent of Model S and X vehicles after they come off the production line, according to a new report from Reuters. Tesla countered by saying any reworking of cars post-assembly shows that it’s committed to quality.

I wonder what the rate is for a Big Three factory.

too busy doing actual work and about explaining electrical infrastructure to a d00d that already has his mind made up on how shit works vs the actual engineering and science of whats going on.
but, to answer ye olde
wiki says:
In 2015 the total installed electricity generation summer capacity in the United States was 1,064.1 Gigawatts(GW)

What is the annual generation capacity of the US-A and how does it compare with the current consumption?
I also only quoted gasoline, diesel etc is another whopper. No way in hell do we have enough capacity to even get to 20-25% electric car penetration, which won't happen for a while. And given the slow as hell approvals for powerplants and how long it takes to build them... things are going to get tough if adoption intensifies.

using my provided wiki link as a source. in 2015 we consumed 4,144.3 billion KWH at a capacity factor of 0.445. So IF WE NEEDED TO, we could likely increase the capacity factor to ~.9 and make 8381.7 billion KWH.
IF we could run at a capacity factor of 1, we'd be able to generate about 9313 Billion KWH. IF we could hit generation capacity, 1,064,100 billion kw
Go back to biz school boy and lean basic maths

why don't you leave the people that actually build and design shit to do their thing while you make money off the buying and selling of others.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:51 pmSo we could just double our generation with the current plants... in effect, yes. Just because a plant is ruining does not mean its at full capacity. Once again, you simply do not grasp how the real world operates.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 3:51 pmSo we could just double our generation with the current plants...
