I did plug and play LED lights from amazon for both headlights and fogs on the Taco. Favorite thing I've done to date. The guys saw them at the meat up and all liked them.

Still requires cutting and thus resealing dust caps, etc yes?

Good way to guarantee condensation and dust inside the headlight housing.

:wtf: is the big deal about cutting/sealing dust caps? :bruh:
from amazon in the notes: DO NOT INSTALL WITH DUST COVER

makes sense to me, the heat sink needs to well, sink and if the dust cover is in place it wont.

Yea, I'll be in sandy and dirty environments with this thing...no dust covers is a bad idea.

The only thing you'd be hacking is a dust cover. :bruh:
Yeah...and replacements aren't likely cheap...

I'd bet they're all of 10 bucks.
Or just leave it and turn it in NFG? Would they even notice?

Probably not.
Bet they would. GM pays a company to comb over lease returns and find ways to ding people.

Personally, I'd buy a replacement to have on hand in case I fucked up hacking the original ones up. If I didn't, boom, spare set.

You're welcome.

Note: It's apparently the same part # for both STD halogen lamps, and projector.

:bruh:

you work for GM performance parts.....slinging parts FOR THIS FUCKING TRUCK. Get the dust covers, bill them to the general, take good notes, do it during work hours, present your market research for bringing and HID kit to the table.

Breh's on the forums claim these fit under the stock dust caps because of the low profile heatsink and the way the wire comes out the back. I might give these a shot.

I am legit nervous about that. The electrical systems are incredibly complex these days. If these lights fry something somewhere, it could be :waxer: to fix out of warranty.
