1.8L Mazduh Miata engine with crappy 5 speed trans attached. So I now have a backup.
I would rather LS swap it and go from there. But thats much more time and money I dont currently have.
This was only $300 and a 2 1/2 hour drive each way to get.

Not too worried. Its going to be a temp while I build the one in the car. It just needs to last a few weeks or so.wap wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:17 pmBarnes93cb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 10:13 pm

Acid bath, deck the head, forged rods, acl race bearing kit, replace the gaskets and seals, boundary engineering oil pump. And slap it back into the car for more fuel and boost. Well beyond my capability. But I have people who know what they are doing. from what im told this is more of a budget build. Im not planning to push this car past about 250-275.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 11:06 pmWhat're you doing to the current engine?Barnes93cb wrote:

Ahh I thought you were doing it yourself, sounds like you should be good for plenty of power at that point. That's a amount of power in a little car.Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 11:14 pmAcid bath, deck the head, forged rods, acl race bearing kit, replace the gaskets and seals, boundary engineering oil pump. Other than the acid bath and decking the head I'm planning to do as much as possible. I've never torn an engine down. So my friends will be teaching me as we go.troyguitar wrote:Ahh I thought you were doing it yourself, sounds like you should be good for plenty of power at that point. also, with rough C5's available for 10k, doing an LS swap on a miata is STUPID. It was always a novelty thing.
