My gf has a placcon for a 'vert...
Right now she's considering an Eclipse (cheap af and honestly fine for her), E46 (probably not worth the maintenance. Last night she test drove my mom's Solara and thought it was alright.
Any other stuff to consider? She doesn't like Mustangs, Camaros, other "manly" cars and doesn't want a roadster.

E46 isn't a bad choice but I'm assuming you're going automatic ... in which case you have to either go low mileage (80k) or below and service it yourself or replace the trans by 120-40k miles since no one services them

My advice is don't get involved, just steer her away from disasters like a 2007-2010 Mini, or the BMWs.D Griff wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2017 1:26 pm My gf has a placcon for a 'vert...

You could do way worse than an Eclipse. I always thought they looked pretty neat I have no idea what else is in the cheap range but a G35/37 vert would be nice to own and relatively problem free.
Or, you know, there's always....

Even with short hair they from my experience. Chicks and convertibles don't mix even though they think they do.

Even then they just want the hardtop on all the time.

I speak from experience with a number of different
If you see a chick rolling in a Wrangler with the top down, she's a lesbian.

Red interior too. @Dgriff
Pretty much agreed on the front. I mean we have a targa in the household already and when I told her she's welcome to drive it she was all
We'll see if this dies down or not....
@Johnny_W, the Infiniti seems like a good idea, I didn't even realise they made 'verts.

The hard top?
Not difficult, not easy. The biggest pain is finding somewhere to put it because it's all one piece.
The soft top is designed to fold down, but then when it's up it's like you're driving a fucking tent down the road.
We had a soft top Jeep and infamous would never let me put the top down because ZOMG HAIR. When I ask to remove the targa top on the I get the same objection. Yet, she always talks about how she wants a convertible. I call her out on it and she goes
Trust me. This would not end well for you.

I have no idea if this passes the cute test. But it's a car you'd enjoy driving too. Will get pretty low gas mileage if that matters, IDK if it does. PRHT is better for year round driving than a rag top IMO. 4 seater means doggie can come too.

This is an epic mobile. The perfect convertible. They think it's so fun to say they have one, but then when they never use it, it's a normal car.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2017 9:06 amI was looking for automaticsD Griff wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2017 7:25 am
