So I attended this free event this am. And it was 5/7
You get to hoon a 540i around the parking lot after getting some professional instruction.
The teachers are all retired ex racers and they have 5/7 jobs.
This optional m4 interior carboner trim is fucking gaudy as hell.
Spot the fake sport
Cars we got to hoon.

I dunno man. I see people who send out their steering wheels on their vettes on the forums to get made up kinda like this and man it looks wicked awesome. But not for the amount of money they're spending.
I like the wheel. Maybe not the rest of the interior trim tho.

Doesn't the pay area just rain money?

MahTroy style "course" update.
So the first two laps were not timed and we drove in an AWD X drive model that is supposedly quicker around the track (parking lot). 4 ppl in the car doe...
The second two laps were also not timed and we drove the RWD model, which was running on 42psi up front, I kept understeering like fucking crazy compared to the first two, and told the instructor... he then lowered the pressures, because they fucked up and overinflated them.
The last piece... was just me and instructor, and I only got 1 hot lap. I was now in a THIRD car, different from the first two and with proper pressures... However, I took it somewhat slow due to my previous BMW ultimate plowing experience. Also, this particular car either had heat soak or some other bs but it didn't pull anywhere nearly as strong as the other two cars.
I got 20.70 seconds, the two guys that beat me got 20.68 and 20.54 (they had different cars). The Winner of the "event" finished at 19 second flat. fake news. I finished 4th out of 30. Most ppl were at 21.5-25 seconds.
Yea report out.
Overall great event.

Got to sit in it ... 5/7 this car is perfectly sized. But my buddy noted that it is a "clown car" for me... ugh... Dat linebacker life. but it will unfortunately always have the baby dick BMW stigma due to the "low number" and "small size" even though it is the best driving car.

The wheel was fine. The shifter and console surround, the E brake etc, all looked like they were $5 fake carbon piece from ebay. It was literally bedazzled with this shit.Acid666 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 4:48 pm

I certainly prefer my interior. However, the M seats are epic.

M2 is pretty for a front engine car, easily the best car in the BMW lineup both overall and per dollar. Super base 230 is the only other competition on the per-dollar front.

BTW a winner (person with best time) will be chosen out of every city (9 total) and be flown all expenses paid to Indio CA (next to Desert) and they get to compete for the best driver...
This is all fucking FREE. BMW is doing 5/7 things out there.

Big BMW's are just absolute fking barges now. I thought the E38 740i Sport was a desirable, good looking, nice handling car Once we went Bangle in 2002, anything over a 5 series was lost on me.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 5:12 pmBecause this is the most important attribute of a vehicle. I am not speaking of myself but more like public perception. I'd love an M2. 5/7 it is my favorite BMW by a mile. Maybe I'll go and order one euro delivery and all... but we shall see.Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 5:12 pmBecause this is the most important attribute of a vehicle. This 540i was very decent... it was pulling some major Gs through the corners. Honestly not a bad driving car. Well balanced as well.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 5:16 pmBig BMW's are just absolute fking barges now. I also don't believe that you don't care about status.

Odd that's different "track" from here then. The instructors said that no one broke 19 ever...Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2017 5:27 pmthe lot they use at LSU is little more than a gravel pit. I'm sure my times were shit. Low 17's IIRC.
