Same floorplan sold two streets over in May for 235k, so I'm gonna count that as a best case scenario.

Godspeed. I don't wish the mortgage process on my worst enemy. Absolutely dreadful.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 1:25 amJust finished filling out the mortgage application to the best of my ability.
Torture. So much data.

Oh wow, you're lucky. The constant barrage of information requests (much of which was previously provided), signatures for dumb shit, hoops to jump through...fucking painful for us.

I don't think you'll have much issue with this team. I'll go smack people around if need be.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 8:09 amEh, I don't think it'll really be that bad.

Yeah i had to send the same info a bunch of times including sending pay stubs a week before I was scheduled to close. Nothing too bad just tedious cause they always emailed me at an inconveient time and wanted a response like immediately. Mine was a 45 day close. Oddly enough 1 year ago today my offer was accepted on this house. Crazy how fast time goes.
Congrats doe Zil super exciting.

I gladly did what they asked, but when they'd call claiming they didn't get something (when they had) threatening putting closing in jeopardy, ON MULTIPLE INSTANCES I just couldn't handle it. It's like there was zero organization and I was supposed to know preemptively what they wanted.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 9:36 amEh, i expected it. Also, stupid shit like:
Infamous was unemployed for 3 months after we moved to MI (she was looking for a jerb), but it turned out we needed to get a notarized letter explaining why...and they didn't tell us we needed it until 3 days before closing...and they made it out to be She was employed at the time for months and had the paychecks to prove it. Didn't matter. So ridiculous.
This was back in 2015, doe...things might have been more fucked then. My recent refi was easy.

Lawyer?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2017 12:58 pm I mean, I'm expecting some skullduggery - I'm commission and she's self-employed, so they're going to want a lot of documentation.
Just received the fully executed contract and sent it off to the lawyer... so here we go.

That's insane. What a waste of money. We just use title companies here...and the detail they go through is I can't imagine what value a lawyer can add. Sounds like a Rothschild family money grab to me.

And you can't believe how huge of a pain in the ass it is to deal with a lawyer who doesn't normally do real estate.
