Ceiling is done and painted. Looks totes fab.
Top row of cabinets got installed yesterday.
Bottom row going in today along with the pantry cabinets.
Another week to trim it all out and I think we'll be there! Minus counter tops of course.

I'd be ok doing this. GFs home is a bit LOL in terms of upkeep and it hasn't been that bad at all. Certainly no front falling off. But home upkeep is prettyDetroit wrote:Everyone should rent forever.

Home upkeep is crazy There's very few benefits...however the ones that exist make it our only option. Mainly location (no rentals) and not dealing with people. Also, eventually it'll be paid off and living costs will be reduced significantly.

You can see 3 of the 4 wall colors/coverings that we found.
Blue painted wood paneling was the latest
Then green colored wood paneling
Then pepto bismol pink painted wallpaper
Then green leafy wallpaper
Ceiling is good. Drywall now. But we found:
Drop ceiling was the latest
Then pink tile
Then yellow plaster
lol...
To come: They will put a soffit over the top of the cabinets to cover the ugly. Cabinets will have end trim. Lower cabinets going in today along with under lighting.

Subway tile is actually coming back. Infamous sends me a bunch of pinshit photos of kitchens with that tile now.
I don't mind it since it's cheap.

Oh yeah subway tile is a thing again. It can look good. But you don't ever fully tile the place. That's full retard.Detroit wrote:Subway tile is actually coming back. Infamous sends me a bunch of pinshit photos of kitchens with that tile now.

Sticking with nomad... I spend maybe two nights a month at the PovMahal.[user not found] wrote:Damn, so you can edit POWLs but it wipes out existing votes.
I'll give that a 2.5/7 solution.
But, @dgriff you have your grabbing frat house option.
