First of all, paying the milage penalty is cheaper than two leases.
You get some of your money back if you purchase. Also, you can pay it off early and thug the paid for car life.
Finally, Hey have shiney new truck, but I also sold my grey one for 1k more than I paid for it, so #winning?
Sweet is sweet, but it's not the only in the jar.

I don't get the 100% ZFG approach to leasing. You still are limited on wear and tear that must be fixed or paid for at turn-in. I don't wash my truck or don't go above and beyond for maintenance, but I still overall take decent care of it because I don't want to pay to give it back. That includes not parking it on the street because if it gets hit, you gotta pay to fix that shit.

Interestingly, GF's Tiggy probably won't get dinged for any wear and tear items caused by other park-by-feelers. You're part of the problem.

I really do want a trux doe. A 2011-ish Frontier V6 4WD with automatic (or similar Taco) for driving and a big shiny chrome bumper on the front and back. They drive great, good brakes, good power, horrible gas mileage and turning radius but whatever. Shame I can't really park that where I live although it's been a while since I've had to circle to find a spot after work, and 9/10 spots I find a trux would fit in.

Good brakes ?
BTW I drove a 2WD Fronqueer the other day. While it was really small inside compared to the rather large exterior dimensions it was actually really quiet and comfortable. Overall

What maintenance ? Just follow the longest allowable according to the manufacturer and call it a day. Also new cars are pretty much maintenance free until they hit 40-50k miles which happens to be outside of lease turn in.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 11:03 am I don't get the 100% ZFG approach to leasing. You don't need things like Tires, brakes, transmission fluid changes, shocks etc. All of which tends to be neglected on older vehicles due to the expensive cost.
And ZFG is I suppose relative.... For ex yes obviously you can't wrap it around a pole... but eating in the car, not washing it, not caring if it burns up in the sun, driving it through salt covered roads etc is all ZFG because you will never own it long enough for you to see the side effects. Ie Rust, faded paint etc.
All that surfaces 5+ years into povertyship.

So those side steps are $600. Best deal I was offered was $510. That's almost 2 payments.

It's all fun and games until you realize you blew a downpayment on a house on flip flopping between cars.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 2:02 pmEbenezer Max just gets all over vehicle ownershit costs.
I
I buy a car a like, I drive it, I own it. That every-penny-must-be-pinched lifestyle would drive me mad.
If you have the means, it sure is fun
