Rolled over 30k in the this weekend.
Did an oil change, added a cabin air filter, and did a five tire rotation.
For whatever reason (cost?) Jeep put capped lug nuts on from the factory, and two of them crushed on me while I was torquing them to the 125ft/lb spec. Replaced those with some solid lug nuts and went with black to match the black Willy’s wheels. Made that swap last night and then I’ll go back and retorque all of them probably tomorrow after getting home from work/gym.
Sent pics to Max, but here’s where my tread on the stock MT tars are after 30k. I’ll get 35k for sure, and likely need to replace around or a little after 40k

Yeah I’m happy with it. I drive about 10k a year (bought this mid-October 2017). Replacing all five tires will come in around $1300 installed probably, and if I continue to get 4 years out of them that’s $325 a year. Although I think the K02s come with 50k treadlife warranty and I’m guessing the AT will wear a little better than the MT... so I should get five years out of those driving the annual cost down to $260ish.

Realizing I forgot to clean the K&N air filter while I was doing everything else. I need to grab one of their refresh kits to oil it up after cleaning it out. I’ll shake whatever is loose out tonight and then swing by somewhere to grab the kit and actually clean it this weekend.

You are correct. You are too old to be borrowing money from your parents. Last payment you're going to get from pops should be when he is in a pine box.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:46 pmWife is pushing for this...I'm "too proud" in her words. Is dad willing to skip one of his twink’s tuition payments and buy the truck for you then let you pay him back after the house is settled? I know you said he’s intent on not leaving anything behind for you, but maybe he’ll loan you the cash since he knows what’s going on and that you’re good for it?

Funny, because it's looking like I'm going to have the JT for a long while yet. Likely through much of the winter.

Wait how is your house sitch not settled yet? That was like 1 month total finance process and that’s it, and y’all already moved in ?! Also I thought the whole point about the jt was that it’s “too expensive” based on the residualDetroit wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 4:46 pmWife is pushing for this...I'm "too proud" in her words. Eric bumped a post up from 1.5 months ago. A lot has changed since then including settling the house stuff.
JT is still $45k to buy with 18k miles on it, which is to me. I could go buy the same truck with 0 miles on it for $500 more. But that's why I ordered the Ram and I'll revisit my ownershit situation in a year when I know how much I'll be driving downstate, what job I'll have, and how much I want to pay for a vehicle.
But the JT isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Dealers are still strapped for inventory, especially on trucks, so no corporate lease units are being built until dealer inventory is back up...which if the new lockdown in our state impacts vehicle production...could be a quite a while. I'm not complaining at all .

Are you all still strapped ? fairly small but not small sample size here as I was scavenging the last 15 western states for Yoda... And they are back in stock and 4k on the hood in states like Texas and Yoda doesn't FCA discount.Detroit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 11:07 amEric bumped a post up from 1.5 months ago. Looks like we have 5-6k on the hood on the 20s now... should be 10-15k but still better than 0 from 1 month ago.
Mojave's only have 2k.

Apparently dealers are still strapped for trucks in many regions. I was surprised by that too, butmax225 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 11:21 amAre you all still strapped ? fairly small but not small sample size here as I was scavenging the last 15 western states for Yoda...
