And still I'm reading posts from people willing to pay above MSRP to get a new 4R in CA.

My Corolla Hybrid has 21k miles on it. MSRP was 23,500... I got it for 20.... I was offered 24.5k for it today through KBB instant cash offer at the Subaru store down the street.
GR86 is due in January, now. This madness better not stop because somehow I have bought a fucking hybrid Corolla and wound up with $7500 in equity in less than 12 months while only paying $370 a month with nothing down.
I will spend this profit on the GR big brake kit if it happens. This shit is bananas.
Car apparently went into production today.
Neptune blue 6MT Premium.
Port installed options:
Front bumper and hood clear bra (I'll be dailying this thing for at least a year on the 110 mile commute)
GR intake, exhaust, short shifter, front and rear sway bars.
Dealer installed options: 17" GR bronze wheel set for the winter tires.

It was just about a year ago. Now it has caught up… at least in CaliforniaDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 10:36 pmI am that you think this is a big deal. Where is the lecture about gas being the cheapest commodity in the world adjusted for inflation?

I like the looks. It has big dick brakes, cool five door design, , $30K.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:44 am https://www.caranddriver.com/photos/g38 ... d-gallery/

I will likely consider it at some point. I think GR86, Integra/Si/R are pretty high on my list for next car/ move, or maybe a C6/7 If we get a different house with garage prior to offing the Beemah I may get a sports car and Hybrid Maverick or something, otherwise I like the Honduh products for one car to do it all.

I bet you that an integra with those headlights + wheels + interior will be 40k and not 30. That's a fake ass price point. Hell that POS si is essentially 30k. This looks significantly better, with better brakes+wheels and likely headlights and interior. That won't be on price parity.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:48 amI like the looks. That said the new 86 even interests me. If i wanted a sports car coupe that provided a lot of driving fun I think I would look no further than the 86. It is a frigging gem, and I'd pick that over any old 996/944 C5/C6/C7 R8 V8 E46/E90 M3/4 . Just so much FUN wrapped into a great little reliable package that will last you 100k miles with 0 troubles. Just get in and enjoy every day, without touching someone else's hand sweat + fartstains.

It's at the top of my 2nd vehicle list if I decide I need one. I really want to drive one once they start hitting lots, it's a fantastic package and likely marks the end of the era of cheap excellent gas sports cars.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:00 pm That said the new 86 even interests me. I agree 100%... unless you really NEED huge powah, this thing fuckin' rules when anything else that is fun at the price point will be 10+ years old. There is a lot to be said for something you can beat the snot out of and just , change the oil and do little else.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:00 pm That said the new 86 even interests me. Too bad you won’t buy it based on that since the rest of them will get clapped out by flat brim vape bros.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:00 pm That said the new 86 even interests me. I just don’t have an interest in that type of vehicle at the moment. The mini provides me with plenty of “enjoyment” for whatever pennies it’s worth now.razr390 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 1:44 pmToo bad you won’t buy it based on that since the rest of them will get clapped out by flat brim vape bros.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:00 pm That said the new 86 even interests me. And I think I’m getting old because I prefer serene isolation over anus shattering fun

One car to rule them all, one car to find them and in the darkness bind them.

This is what I'm afraid of now too. I think when I drive one, I may just end up feeling conflicted. Will be awesome, but not what I'm looking for anymore.

Same. I love a fun car but when my friend let me borrow his E class during Florida visit it was bliss
