Yep, it would have been fine for a Sport mode calibration.

I hear protune solves the issue. I watched some videos on it where throttle at say 20% is actually more like 50% in terms of where it's going.

Looking at WranGAYlers... something like https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... 1=WRANGLER seems pretty decent. JKs seem to depreciate a bit more, similar miles TJs are the same or more. These cars are newer, probably more compliant. A four door seems like cool practicality to go alongside the C5. It's still a lot of money, not sure I'd really go for it. Hopefully these prices will drop a bit more with the new release, maybe this winter or next I can get into one.

Only for a year or two. Nobody bought them so they were dropped.

Cheapness, and honestly most people don't need 4x4.

Me too. I knew the basics and had been out a handful of times. Bough my Civic Si about 2 hours from my house and my first ride home in it was on the NJ turnpike in bumper to bumper. Many stalls and burnouts to be had

The one you linked is a 4 door, the pic is a 2 door
Looks like that JKU isn't horrible. Looked up the window sticker, it's a pretty basic model with few options. Open diffs and standard gearing. The 3.8L is kind of an anchor. Might not be horrible doe. IDK.

The 3.8 is an anchor, but it works for a Jeep. A 4-door is far more usable. I think it's a buy.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:24 amThe one you linked is a 4 door, the pic is a 2 door

I'm going to hold off on this a while, but I think if I , a four door is probably the way to go, considering my other car is a two-seater. I need to do some test drives at some point.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:26 amThe 3.8 is an anchor, but it works for a Jeep. A 4-door is far more usable. I don't think I really care about the "boat anchor" aspect, I'm sure the 3.8 is fine for around, way better than a 2.5 TJ no doubt and probably still better than the over hyped 4.slow.

You should be fine to around in the 3.8, especially if you're keeping stock tire size.D Griff wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:30 amI'm going to hold off on this a while, but I think if I , a four door is probably the way to go, considering my other car is a two-seater. $14000 for a 26,000 jeep that is 9 model years old with a boat anchor engine that takes 0-60 in 11 seconds and it has a tent roof and 120k miles
how is that that's a 5k vehicle
