the one off ones that cost 6 figures and a few years to build are because those = all 914s not the 4 cylinder 80-110hp ones that most were.

MR2 is basically a better 914 in every single way outside of badge... yet I'd think I'd be embarrassed to tell someone I drive a "Porsche" only to have them find a 914 outside.
