Man, if you squint and turn your head a certain way you would almost think it's a mix between a 3 series and 30 other similar cars in its class.

I wouldnt expect the platform to change much, rreally a more radical facelift with audi like skirts makes sense. Hopefully they don't go all AZN on the eight like the images suggest

Just a bunch of dead horse beating.

For anyone who feels like translating. They also post up the new Polo GTI with similar design cues. I think this is where vw is going for 2019, but i could be falsch

New Jetta was caught with its pants down a little bit ago.Tarspin wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 9:42 am http://www.autobild.de/artikel/golf-vii ... utobild.de

Side is alright, it has a bit of Ford Fusion going on which is but otherwise not bad. The front
I like the new A4 doe so maybe this won't be so bad in person.
Good content in here is good
That Jetta is hideous, why so Asian? It looks like they took the back of the current Jetta and glued it onto some cheapo Korean sedan. What ever happened to the MK4/5 era Jettas that were actually nice cars, a cut above other small sedans?

I've heard tell of the MK4 being POS, but the MK5 was really nice and pretty reliable, I've known quite a few people who had/still have them.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 11:57 amI think that was a myth? Mk4 is the best looking golf/jetta since the giugiaro-designed originals, are they actually bad cars? I never had one but they seem like typical German cars. A VR6 one could be a neat DD.D Griff wrote:I've heard tell of the MK4 being POS, but the MK5 was really nice and pretty reliable, I've known quite a few people who had/still have them.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 11:57 am I think that was a myth? Never owned one or had a close friend/family member own one, but I've heard a lot of stories about electrical/build quality issues with the MK3/4 Golf/Jetta. I almost bought a VR6 GLI MK4 instead of the GTI back in 2011 as a option but got scared away from it after researching. It was an awesome blue and seemed like a really cool car for only $5.5k or so back then.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 12:28 pmMk4 is the best looking golf/jetta since the giugiaro-designed originals, are they actually bad cars? Yeah I think that the VR6 GLI in particular is cool as hell. Looks good, sounds good, ought to be half decent to drive?D Griff wrote:Never owned one or had a close friend/family member own one, but I've heard a lot of stories about electrical/build quality issues with the MK3/4 Golf/Jetta. Hard to justify over an E36/46

Mk4s were nice, you just needed to keep extra coilpacks in the trunk.

They were alright if you had the 1.8T nevarlose engine. Otherwise mostly crap.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 11:57 amI think that was a myth? I remember them being POS in high school but girls liked them.D Griff wrote:Good content in here is good
