The ATS package was actually the perfect enthusiast's car for MI roads.
That with the would've been a killer combo, IMO... but I guess 3some cock block wins outtroyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2017 6:09 pmThe ATS package was actually the perfect enthusiast's car for MI roads.

I'd ATS or similar (probably mustang for me personally) in place of if I still lived up there, drive that 300 days a year and drive a TRUCK when you actually need a truck.D Griff wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:19 pmThat with the would've been a killer combo, IMO... but I guess 3some cock block wins outtroyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2017 6:09 pm

I guess I'm a , but I enjoy having a fair weather fun car. Keeps it somewhat "special" feeling.

Just drive that all the time. It's what I did when I lived in CA. My DD was my fun car.

I've been to Grand Junction and IIRC it is basically Nebraska. I guess this vehicle is needed for the mountains of snow.

Have a handshake deal for $3000 on this
2004 Ford Explorer EDDIE BAUER
http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/cto/6196987351.html
Pros: Super clean, engine purrs....steers like new....newish tars.....current inspection....
Cons: Couldn't OBD as it was not powered so deal is pending whether I can change a fuse to get a reading.....
Has a right rear wheel whine at speed....assumed it was a bearing. ....read up on it....could be lube....could be worse.....any thoughts?
If it's not throwing any codes I am thinking of rolling the dice with the whine......this is the best bang for the buck that I have found here in truck heaven i.e. centPA.....

Transmissions are a weak spot in these... also with 150k+ miles, which is high-ish maintenance would be key. Otherwise this thing will fall apart. Overall at some point I decided to kind of peak at these as well. Since they are 1/2 the price of a cherokee and twice the car.Irish wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 12:50 pm Have a handshake deal for $3000 on this

Yeah....the seller is a jeweler who dabbles in flipping vehicles.....says he bought this from a new car dealer......only thing he knows is that it was from canada, but it has an 11 month old PA inspection somax225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 1:40 pmTransmissions are a weak spot in these... also with 150k+ miles, which is high-ish maintenance would be key. The 2004 gen is better than the 2005 ish gen that I have, IMO. They seem to hold up better.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 1:40 pmTransmissions are a weak spot in these... also with 150k+ miles, which is high-ish maintenance would be key. Looking at that door ding on my car with only 2400 miles.... yes I understand this totally. People blow in general.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2017 9:51 amDepends on what kind of traffic you deal with and where you drive.
Shitty roads, shitty drivers... I'd rather a NFGmobile than my fun car.
