I would entertain a 4x4 full-size van, but they never came that way from the factory. Conversions are :waxer: and negate the cost savings.

I'd kill myself before driving a FWD Minivan. Sorry, just not happening.
RWD bro.

We towed snowmobiles to the UP and the mountains in Idaho with a RWD van and blizzaks back in the 90s/00s when the tires weren't as good. Ain't nobody need no 4WD.

Then you have to store them, store a trailer, register, etc, etc, etc. :nope:

I can't see offroading in a lease or anything DD-worthy, but I also DD cheap old tin cans NFG so I guess it could be OK if you went with a $10k thing after the 1SMP?

Not hardcore offroading, just some sand dunes and easy trails.

Still, I'm entertaining a $10k 4x4 something if I can find it.

Right on. I like my $9k car way more than a new :waxer: thing. It's nice to have it be pre-scratched.

Yep, totally. It'll all depend on finding the right thing...i.e. a well cared for southern/western truck. An Avalanche would be perfect for what I want, but they're pricey just like everything 4x4 right now.

GM quality+ no service.

No one services automatics, and that particular transmission doesn't fare well with 100k mile old fluid.
My friends dad got on his 3rd trans on his trailblazer before he sold it, he's the kind of guy that shouldn't own anything other than Japanese cars, and now he drives a Jetta, I hope to god it won't poop on him.

Also :notbad:

134k on it, under $5k price. That's pretty solid, it won't really lose value from there. Also 1 owner vehicle that appears to have been regularly serviced. Good looking truck.

Problem is rust. I'm :notsure: I'd buy anything like this from a rust state.

Finally one that doesn't have FC Barcelona or Real Madrid sticker in the back.

I don't think I'd buy anything at all from a rust state anymore, even a couple of winters will fuck up fasteners everywhere. :nope:

Yea, very true. If I buy a poverty truck, it'll be from the south or west, no question.

Xterras have absolutely the best bang for the buck. But they turned into giant hideous monsters with their newer body styles.

4 runners are good but you have to :member: they need timing belts ... a very pricy maintenance

If I go DD/10k SUV I think I'd aim for something like this:
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/deta ... /overview/

Unicorn mileage
