I guess you don't check this thread much... I bitched about this a bit ago. The current Wrangler pricing is It was tough to swallow before unless you flew 3 states to the only dealer discounting them to acceptable levels. Now they tagged on another $750
First 5,000 miles on the Jeep. I didn’t think to log the first fill up, so that data is missing, and I don’t bother calculating/inputting the actual city/highway percentages.

Pretty much what I expected. I averaged 15.5 in a JKU sport over 500 miles. But it was an auto Do you spend a lot of time in the city/traffic?
I'd say 90% is in traffic or in the city. The few times I get open freeway for a trip out of San Diego, my mileage on that trip jumps up to the low 18s.

It was actually really awful putting the Jeep into 4LO. You'd have to crawl at around 2-3mph and then jam the diff from 4HI to 4LO which sometimes would create awful noises that were "normal". And then the car would drive like absolute shit... But that may just be because my jeep didn't have an E-Diff and a different throttle mapping for when in 4HI. It got super touchy.
I missed this before.
Gear reduction amplifies throttle inputs.
Also... jamming it into 4-Lo? Wat?
All 4-Lo engagement procedures generally require neutral or park and then select the gear with your foot on the brake and put it back into gear.
Missed it too and holy fuk.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Per the Manuel you can’t put it from 4hi to 4 low when standing still. You have to be crawling. don’t start with this shiet. And yes it would be crunch central when that is happening. If the Jeep is not moving you can’t put it into low ...

Obviously these fking 1%ers don’t know how to work a Jeep. Or have never operated a transfer case before.
Operated many transfer cases, electronic and manual.
I mean, I've had to roll a car forward a bit and attempt engagement before so the gears mesh up, but never had to shift while rolling. That's a new one.
Sounds like you haven’t then. That’s how it’s done.

Manual t-cases need to be rolling around 2-3 mph. Electronic ain't care...but it won't engage until you start rolling a bit.

This thing will never go farther off road than the occasional bad park job with a wheel on a curb so who cares what tires it has, these tires are better suited to carting spawn between strip malls than AT tires are.
