The good
1. Finally a heep
2. Finally with everything fixed
3. Love the styling

The bad
1. FCA first year
2. :dillerman: games with the worst :dillerman: in the industry :disgust:
3. Possible shortages, and production issues see point 1.2
4. I kind of want a nice one... which means 40-50k for a heep ... :disgust:

I am kind of going against my personal philosophy on this one :disgust:
Buying a first year FCA product that the entire world is circle jerking to is not a great idea. Did you have a lobotomy? Maximillian Zhukov pays a PREMIUM? On a first year Dodge? No.

Go do your usual thing and take another dude's premium car at a discount because "Bro this Hellcat lease is getting a little expensive."

I get all that... hence the whole point of me saying that I am going :fullretard: and going against my personal philosophy... I suppose I could always buy a 97-02 4 Runner that Guadalupe drove to the moon and back. But that sounds pretty damn depressing.

I think you could overcome the first year FCA psychologically. The premium thing though.....I just don't see you making that happen.

On principle, I am not paying over sticker.

I can take a leap of faith and assume that I am buying one of the least depreciating cars currently on the market. Which is how I am justifying going new.

I also have an issue with the actual final price, I'll have to wait and see until it gets released, but 50k after TTL is a shit ton of money for something with roots dating back to a tractor.

Turd-Pro 4 runner is 42k... MSRP... if a rubicunt is over 50k it would be pretty damn insane.

Would be an interesting match up. But the 4Runner has a 9 year old chassis and 15 year old transmission and V6 engine.
4Runner is probably easier to live with and DD. JL has more character, more power, better transmission, far better interior, current styling.

To counter the bad....
1. Valid concern and real. But warranty and you won't have it more than 3 years anyway.
2. Factory order it from your magic :dillerman:
3. Thug Life the Vic for a few months while your mall chariot is being hand built by Ohio's finest stoners
4. 40-50k doesn't matter so much since you won't have that much tied up in it at once, and resale will be stupid high for a while because of production issues. Look at the actual ownership cost of the vehicle, it'll be pretty low. Like my car. $35k for a Corolla is :gag: but it depreciated call it $5 grand, that's less than a CPO Mazda CX5 would have depreciated, which would have cost me $23 grand. The $23k car cost more to own than the $35k car.

Back on topic. I found today from the jl forum (which I am now a member of :doomed: ) that you get 1% off invoice by joining www.treadlightly.com
This will be around 3-5k off for me. :mindblown:

You have to have at least the $100 membership for minimum of 30 days to get the FCA discount.

Once pricing is announced... and the Heeps show up at the stillershits... I will take a few out for a spin... then go from there.
I need to finalize Rubicon vs Sahara and quite a few other things.

May have over-stated a bit... Looks like the invoice is around 2k below on the JKU with a 38k MSRP maybe around 2,500 on a more expensive model... still better than nothing... or markup.

Wouldn't 1% of invoice only be 300-500? Or what else are you stacking to get up to $5,000 off?

Should have argued that the percentages are that the actual cost of a wedding will be like 30 Rubicons amortized over years of misery.

:word: I was thinking you just get the the 1% of the invoice price and subtract that from MSRP. Sounds like a solid deal.
