I know you said you've got C6 parts, but if you read the part numbers and find that the front sway isn't a C6 bar just holla and I'll give you my stock one.
It's gonna go in the attic when I get a chance to get up there.
Also, gave me a 160° thermostat that I was gonna slap on. It looks like it should drop right in. I don't know if I've got a 2 piece or 1 piece or whatever. I'll find out when I take mine off. The general consensus is that you can just drop this thing in and don't need any computer tuning correct? He said the comp turns the fans on and off at certain speeds and with the AC which makes sense. The thermo is a dumb part that doesn't care about electronics.

Mine has been running excellent with the 160 thermostat.Acid666 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2017 10:32 am I know you said you've got C6 parts, but if you read the part numbers and find that the front sway isn't a C6 bar just holla and I'll give you my stock one.

LS1 thermostat has a little tab on it, you can just look and see if yours has it.

Thermo won't care about computer settings, but you won't see much of a change in coolant temp if you don't change the fan settings.Acid666 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2017 10:32 am I know you said you've got C6 parts, but if you read the part numbers and find that the front sway isn't a C6 bar just holla and I'll give you my stock one.

You will see changes as long as you're moving.
Sitting still is where the fan speed changes are needed to see a difference.

Yeah I can't see it NOT helping because the only times I have heat problems is sitting between runs. I have to run my AC to make the fans kick on. I think the idea is that with the fluid coming in earlier it'll still get to it's normal 220° temp when sitting but it won't be so prone to go over it so easily.

Really? When I changed my t-stat without playing with the fan settings, the thing went straight to 200 regardless of moving or not.
Now with the fans reset, it barely cracks 190.
Maybe my car is borked...

215 ideally, but 195 is fine for highway driving.troyguitar wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2017 12:43 pmDon't you want oil to hit 212F?Melon wrote:

When i was hammerning on it, coolant stayed @ 220 or below, and oil was at 240 - 265.

YAY I can race tomorrow.
Went to test the suspension at highway speeds to see if I should soften it up for the ride there... TICKTICKTICKTICK. *FUCK*
Left it at a friend of a friend's shop with a nice note
Just picked it up. They patched both holes and didn't charge me anything. I'm gonna go back and tip the dude that had to deal with taking this bitch off the rim.

You really have to tighten the fuck out of the sway bar end link bolts while the car is on the ground to avoid noises. I had that problem and everything was pretty tight... had to be extremely tight to make the clunking stop.

First autocross on the new Konis and swaybar. Synopsis, too stiff. I knew there'd be a learning curve, but I should of started soft and gone up instead of firm and gone down. I did soften the fronts to 1/3 on my last 3 runs, but I shoulda just gone even more. No biggie, this event was more of a test n tune.
Ran 2/3 stiff in front and 1/3 stiff in rear, sway bar on the stiffer of the 2 selections. Immediate understeer right out of the gates.
I think my starting point should of been full soft all the way around and then bump up the front rebound till it feels like it's a little out of control. I may have misread the interwebz tuning guide and treated the rebound tuning as the compression tuning.
Really wasn't happy with my runs on this course. It had some staggered slaloms that I did NOT like. The first 3 cone slalom was right after a 180 and the cones were super close to each other so your entry speed and line coming in and out of that 180 was critical. It was a very Honda happy track.
Took first by .005 seconds. I don't think me or the Camaro SS guy were happy with our runs. This layout just didn't benefit us in the least bit.

Dash cam footage, because I filmed inside with my gopro and it was all black dash, and solid white light through the windshield.
I did mess with the contrast and saturation in my inside footage to TRY to get some cones and the course into view. Didn't really come out to well.
Next event, softer setting on the sway bar, full soft on the rebound on all 4 shocks, and possibly see if I can dial in some camber on my own with the stock setup.

, I talked to Mike for a while. Asked how he likes his gears. "Hates em". LOL. Poor guy, he said it was shifting to 3rd at times. Man, That just sounds like an easy way for your tires to kick out from underneath you if it has to get slammed back into 2nd. That automagic tranny....
He might ditch that diff and go back to stock.

As far as suspension tuning goes, I've only messed with adjustable sway bars.
Interested in seeing how it goes with the tuning.

I should of firmed up the rear and softened up the front.
Shit man, imagine if I would of started there, I would of been top of the pack right away and not had to work so hard to beat Mike.
I can't wait for the next event. I'm gonna try to rip that shit up now that I basically put myself in the worst possible scenario and still did pretty damn decent in raw times.

Don't need a gauge. Just kick em out as far as they'll go, then set toe back to zero.Acid666 wrote:Diy camber gauge reader is next on my list.

What's the max camber you can get with the stock c5 arms? I haven't really dug into the weeds with what some good settings are for camber and toe and all that jazztroyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 11:33 amDon't need a gauge.
