Will let you know pros and cons as I learn about them, hopefully just pros.razr390 wrote:in all reality once i reach a level of where I can afford to save more than just 401k at work, i will hire a money manager who makes their living by ensuring my accounts make money.

If your experience is anything like mine, the market will leave you behind while you wonder why you can never win.Tarspin wrote:This is the first time I'm trying it. I am currently molding reality with my mind to ensure that things go well in this avenue in my life. 7% compounded average gains for the next 20 yrs, then I yank the $750k plus the inheritance and ride off into the sunset with my 25 yr old gold digger girlfriend. There will be no despair at all.troyguitar wrote:If your experience is anything like mine, the market will leave you behind while you wonder why you can never win.Tarspin wrote:This is the first time I'm trying it. Thoughts on CAT now that released his infrastructure boost plan?
Also want to buy more LMT, it just keeps going up. And maybe more BP as a long hold since dividend yield is 6%. My holdback on that is if gas tax goes up will people drive less? But fuel prices are expected to climb this year so that usually means profits.
I've made a good amount on CSX rail but I dunno if that's going to continue being big or not. I kinda think not.

Ended up buying into CAT. We'll see where that goes I guess.
Gotta wait a few days for Scottrade to settle funds on my acct before I can go on defense contractors.

I liked that movie. Bought it on DVD. I don't even have a DVD player now. I also have Top Gun on DVD and now I want to watch it.
Acct inception was 4 years ago IIRC. I got fat off airline stocks... Delta and Southwest really took off in that timeframe.
My acct lost like $8 grand this year doe. Meh? Long term play, I'm still net positive.

I looked at their chart from 198x to today and decided on with 40 shares. I plan to keep it for a long time. If it drops a lot then I will probably pick up more of it.Johnny_P wrote:Thoughts on CAT now that released his infrastructure boost plan?
