I got caught up in their polygraph. Which is because I know for certain I didn't lie. Their exam
Caught me by surprise though. Had controls for truths and lies and then the questions in between. I was definitely nervous.
Oh well. Live and learn.

My main concern isn't money alone, for those who might be at my career drama. But I do what to be able to make use of my degree, experience and make a decent salary and living based on that.
Cuz $12/hour ain't gonna cut it if I want to move out

Zilch and I were just listening to a podcast on This American Life this week with like, the nation's leading polygrapher? Polygraphist? Polygraphic?
Any way, he was going into detail about passing those with flying colors just by tightening your asshole. No joke. Future reference?

I'd have to tighten it before I sit down, since they have a "butt motion sensor pad" that senses if I move or clench.Sno wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 8:57 pmZilch and I were just listening to a podcast on This American Life this week with like, the nation's leading polygrapher? Can't hurt to see what they have to say.SAWCE wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 8:16 pmI really wanted to be good here and get something long term on my resume.. If things don't work out with this job I'll stay here for at least a few years like I had originally planned. Not going to apply anywhere else, but figure since this other company is already considering me, I might as well give it a shot.

I think I learned something from my ex-girlfriend. Well, two things I guess. One was bring her around my friends. I always bring my current girlfriend around, but I never really did with my ex. Also, I listen more. Girlfriend mentioned the other day she doesn't like the toothpaste I have, so I went out and bought her the brand she uses at her apartment to use in mine. She was so happy. It's the small things.

I am just so everyone
I won't take the tuning company job, but I do want to apply to professional/admin level jobs while I'm still working at target where I can hopefully make 30-40k (or a wage I can at least afford to move out and live with gf on). I'd love to put my degree to good use. Although if I put in 6 good months at target with good numbers they might promote me to a position where I make the most use of my degree.
