I'm surprised companies don't give today off as holiday. I had to use vacation time for it, and pretty much all I work with did the same.

Probably cheaper to give it off versus spend the facilities money to have people in.

Right. That's what surprises me. The facilities have to stay open for the few that still work. Should just close.

I'm surprised companies don't give today off as holiday. I had to use vacation time for it, and pretty much all I work with did the same.

A good portion of my company is out because they used vacation time as well. But we are only allowed so many people to use vacation on certain days so we still have coverage.

im soldering new joints to my water heater because the new one is 6" taller than old... and the water feed flex line busted under pressure....

so of course i burned the shit out of myself on a hot copper pipe.



but was a huge help with lifting the new fucker into attic in 130 degree attic.
