Unless you can locate something that is unobtanium in Duty Free, DF is not a deal, "duty free" or not.

Went to buy another bottle of Macallan 21 today but the online inventory was wrong and they didn't have it.

So, I bought these:

Wife and i took the day off for various relaxing events ranging from AZN massages (don't ask) to :dock: and even some xmas shopping! Happened to buy myself this bottle and a MacBook Pro 13".

So I ordered a thing of THIS today for my boss.
Image

Apparently it's the shit, and apparently it's UNBELEIVABLY difficult to fucking get. I called the distributor and they gave me a list of 3 places locally that they ship to, followed by "We didn't get much of that, so it might be tough to find:"
First place, "Oh yeah, we get about 1 case every 3 months. Got none in stock now"
Second place is a Wine/alcohol specialty store...."LOL, We get a case of that every one and a half months, and it only comes with 6 per case, and they sell in under 2 days... GOOD LUCK MAN"

Had to order it from fucking England. $44 shipping. OH FUN!

Just scrolled back a page and saw this.
Have you had the Gold stuff? My boss loves Bourbon and likes old fashions, so we're pitching in and getting it and something else for his wife.

The gold is amazing. Definitely one of my standing "if you can get it let me know" bottles as I'll buy it. We can't get it in PA.
Good to know. I'm hoping he likes it. We've been wanting to get him a nice gift but what do you get the boss that's awesome to you and can afford to get himself whatever he wants/needs and already has all the techy shit under the sun.

Got this one last night when I was out and about.

Image

It's great at less than 1/2 the cost of Macallan.

Bal is seriously underrated! Nice pick up!
Trader Joes carries that stuff at quite reasonable prices.

I tried this last night, the "Port Finish" being one of the variants in a three pack of Glenmorainge I picked up at Costco a couple of weeks back. Rich, tasty.
