But at what point could you have had a real bike?

Seems a lot like the $9500 in downpipe mod/demod/mod to get 5 horsepower and then complaining that he didn't get enough to beat a Golf R..... but Golf R's are too expensive.....

well, 1. wife unit is still very against a big bike, that's an uphill battle for later,
and 2. I make no excuses for the fact that it's a near total waste of money on a TOY. I'm at peace with that.
3. It's a riot to ride.

I mean, you are taking to a guy thats over a grand deep into a doodlebug minibike....thats not even street legal.

Between the time that the garage door was installed and when the door opener guy showed up we went to one of the local outdoor stores here in town. I went awhile back but wasn't really that impressed for some reason, maybe because they were slightly busy and I couldn't find an employee... but the place is nice and they carry a lot of stuff.

Met with the owner and told him I'm a Weber guy, owning 3 Weber Smokey Mountains, a Performer and standard kettle, but was always interested in a Kamado or Big Green Egg style cookers. We went over the components and the pricing and he ended up working me a pretty good deal (about $400 less than the competing shop in town), taking 15% off all accessories and promised 10% off accessories in the future (basically free tax + 1.75%).....so I bought one and it will be here mid-week.

Got it scheduled so they delivered it today:





The table is "OKAY", but I would probably build one if I was doing it over, now that I have this seen one. It really is not bad, but I could have made something far better for 1/2 the price in wood and hardware.

I put a better cap on top of the egg that is stainless steel and lets you keep it on year round and keeps water out of the egg.
