Work space or no, that is the worst example of carpet installation in New Jersey.
The upstairs would likely be the wife's office space - plenty of space for her to with the doge during the daytime, there's a half bath up there, and it's separate from the rest of the house. My only concern would be summer temps.
It's beautiful. Great driveway too![user not found] wrote:Just offered $215k on this one: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/148- ... 0495_zpid/

You have no idea of the saltiness I deal with here in BR.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2017 2:11 pmthis is the girl version of the face I picture you making:[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2017 1:16 pm
Price dropped and it's closing in on 60 days, so we're lowballing for shits and giggles.
Also, with your airboat math. That doesn't work up here in the northeast.
I literally every time I see it. I think it needs to be added to the DFD Pantheon.
Exterior of the house was finished today. All new paint and stained the fence. Shit looks pretty decent now from outside with the new garage door and paint.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 3:05 pm I need to do a bunch of shit to my house.
Recently scheduled/Done:
New garage door installed this morning.
Liftmaster 8500 opener coming for install this afternoon.
Painting the house exterior and shed as well as staining the fence in July.
Need to do:
Flooring replacement in July/August. Want to remove the bulk of the carpet.
Complete re-wire of cat6 and coax to every room from the structured media enclosure I purchased.
Paint complete interior.
Install my security cameras.
Replace all baseboards with taller real wood, currently 3" MDF. Door frames are already real wood and doors are all solid core 2 panel/arch doors.
Need to either replace or refinish the kitchen cabinets this year.

Nice! House is going to look though, and if your market is anything like ours in the Toronto area then it's well worth the effort. I'm going to be doing some similar work in the next year so keep us in the loop on before and after pics. I might steal some ideas.CorvetteWaxer wrote:Exterior of the house was finished today. Picked up all my tile today for the flooring and shower work.
Decided to replace the tile on the floors of the bathrooms and the laundry room with tiles and continuing the job in one of the bathrooms converting the tub/shower into a shower only that will be tiled in from floor to ceiling.
Monday they come measure the floors for the Laminate in the common areas of the house and carpet in the bedrooms. Once that is schedules I paint the inside of the house.
Found the new baseboards we want, 5.25" pine, no MDF. $1.49 per linear foot, so about $1100 in material there.
Hot tub delivery guys called today and put an ETA of ~14 days on the unit, could be sooner.
Then I just need to do the cabinets... When this shit is done I'm going to need a vacation.

I've gotta check mine out as well luckily its a ranch from the front so easy access. I think the downspouts are probably clogged causing the water to back up and overflow[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 8:49 am After our massive rain this week i have identified a couple spots on the gutters that I need looked at. My roofline is at 30 feet so I am going to pay someone to do it. Suspect the gutter guards have collapsed over the years.
Nice good to know. My plan is to get up there and the downspouts and hit a few seals with flex seal and hopefully it takes care of it.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 9:00 amMy neighbors just used "The Gutter Brothers" and are happy. Not to mention, a 30+ft extension ladder is big, heavy, unwieldy, and can be tough to store. I have one that opens to about 28 ft and it is the absolute maximum that I can handle, and it's not tall enough to reach teh highest of my gutters, so they've never been cleaned out. I don't seem to have any problems with them so[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 9:44 amThat. Not afraid of them, smart enough to know what money well spent looks like.dtraill27 wrote:

Conversion from/to?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 12:50 pm guy here planning out our heater/hot water conversion
Neighbor plumber dude called me back. He's coming over after work on Monday to give me a price. We'll see.wap wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:44 pm So, my hot water heater is getting old. I got one with a 9 year warranty and it's going on 14 years old. No problems or symptoms yet, but I'm thinking it's time to replace it. 40 gallon, gas fired.
Thoughts on brand, cost, etc? Neighbor dude is a plumber and I'm probably going to just hire him. He uses Rheem.
Ah.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 2:39 pmConversation was the wrong statement. Replacement.wap wrote:

Sounds like the right call. What size/brand of water heater are you getting? I assume gas fired?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2017 3:04 pmI didn't anticipate the hot water heater but it is close enough to dying and cheaper to do it all right now than to do it in pieces.
