I played with my cable after lunch, morning was bonkers.
I too have a stored low key fob battery alarm stored and something about XM receiver having low voltage so I cleared them both.
This the only change I made for now, gotta get back to support requests in the plant.

Figured out the number of blinks in the lane change turn signal. Did some research and found that you have to ho into the menus in the HU and do a factory reset to the lights submenu.
4 flashes now.

TBH,
I just wanted to activate some features like 4 blink passing turn signal, windows up/down with key fob, fog lights as cornering lights, fogs stay on with high beams, and a few others, etc, and Carista was the cheapest way to
$30 for the dongle and one month free subscription.

I get that.... I still have a knock off VAG COM cable that [user not found] gave me back in the day..... I want to see if I can change some settings on my sons Audi but frankly am a bit nervous because I have never reinstalled the software since changing laptops..... I might just opt for something like OBD 11 or Carista to be safe....wap wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 4:42 pm

Depending on how much - or how little - you want to do, Carista might fill the bill. It's really easy to use, synced perfectly with my phone every time, etc.Irish wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 5:44 pmI get that.... Yea, I didn't think they failed so soon. It's barely got 18k miles on it.
It's a 2019 so I still have 4 years of People's Warranty left on it. Just gotta find the time to get it to the Bleh.
