Nah, gotta go full airboat and just cover the front with a layer of painters tape for track days

Yeah, if anything I'm just looking to mix up the look a bit. Not sure. I'm polling my friends for opinions.

Thanks for the input. I've got about 50/50 yes/no right now...
Also, had an annoying adventure with the exhaust. I was trying to record exhaust flyby clips with silencers in and out, right? Gotta know what it's like from the outside.
Stupid me thought it was a great idea to try to unbolt the silencer from the tip while it was still blazing hot
The nut welded to the silencer completely snapped off, leaving the silencer stuck in the tip and rattling a LOT at idle <-- basically looking like this while it's in there. Had to take it to a shop (where I used to work in 2018) to have them remove it. They had to torch the damn bolt and snap it off.
Dumb mistake that cost me $80 ($40 for new silencer, $40 labor to remove the old fuk'd one). Tbh I'm glad it was only $80 to get it back to normal...
Also, interior pieces are going in for paint on Friday (F I N A L L Y)!

There's this JDM Comp Yellow NC on instagram that had them (in white) and it really caught my attention. I'm worried that it would be a bit too hot boi if I went with those... idk.
Lemme try to dig up a picture.

More things with Cheese...
Got the windshield replaced yesterday. Nice crack from a rock on I-10 on the passenger side. Coated the new one with Gtechniq G1 last night. I love that stuff. Water flies off the windshield.
Also pulled off 15 interior trim components last night, dropped them all off for paint today. Reinstalled pics ETA next Saturday. Can I also bitch about how fucking annoying it is to get off 1) the large passenger side dash trim piece and 2) the A/C knobs? They both require removing the fucking radio , and the radio has one of those dumb security bolts that you need to worm under the dash to get out . The radio has a bunch of panels to remove to get it out too. A/C knobs were a bitch to remove. Gotta remove the radio, remove the HVAC control unit, and pry them off the damn circuit board... BUT I GOT EM WITHOUT BREAKING THEM so for that one.
Oh yeah. Had to take the steering wheel ALL the way off to get the trim pieces on that out (tabs on the back). I hate dealing with airbags. Feels like I'm holding a . Went and put the steering wheel back on last night (2am-ish), woke up, got in the car, and surprise it's off by a tooth... FUCK. So I gotta fix that after I get home this evening, which means more airbag messing-around-with-fuckery, which is n o b u e n o.
Yes it needs a vacuum plsdontjudgekthanks

After that it's mostly checking the miata.net and miataturbo classifieds for good deals that appear. Roll bars usually show up there once and a while for a good deal.

Oops, I forgot to send the post-paint pics. Here they are. Came out REALLY good, and I feel like it upgrades the interior. The silver trim on the doors was not removable, so I'll have to see about wrapping that black later.

Thank you!
I was a little concerned too. The inspiration was the '13-'15 Miata Club, which had the body colored dash panels, but only came in (I think) red, white, black, and silver. No yellow. I took a chance and it looked really good.
I knew the black steering wheel trim, knobs, and vent rings would be great. The risky part was the roll hoop covers and the ring around the shifter. I have to say, I think having the shifter ring yellow now REALLY makes everything work. Overall I'm very pleased.
