Most maintained Miata on the planet 3 belts in 50k miles ? :impressive:
Only because he didn't know I changed it, likely.

I swapped it out when I bought it because it's a cheap thing, easy to do, and good maintenance if you don't know the history of the belt prior. I swear I did the idler pulley as well, but can't find any receipts for a replacement.

I did the same thing on the Taco - serp belt and all 3 idler pulleys. Tensioner I left for now, but I'll replace it eventually?
Well the tensioner was loud enough that it sounded more like supercharger whine so I replaced it :aintcare:

Used my stethoscope. It’s very obviously the pump making noise. I’ve traced it back to a bad seal on the pump inlet. Back to mazda for mooore parts hooray! :sass:

Update: power steering fixed :fuckyeah:

Shoved a slightly thicker o-ring onto the suction hose where it goes into the pump. Now it seals up perfectly!

Now I get to finish my original problem and see if the new alternator is working and if the battery got murdered.

battery indeed mcFuk’d by the alternator. 0.86V after charging for 12hrs.

1 alternator, 1 battery, and 1 power steering oring and we’re ready to go!

Or, do you prefer something else? Before you say Recaro, I’m not looking to drop 1000+ per seat :nope:

The one that fits your body is the best. It's a PITA but you need to sit in them somehow.

That is indeed the problem. I can’t find a store with any of the seats I’m interested that I can go sit in.

First seat looks a lot like mk6 GTI seat. Second is too much I’ll concur with consensus

Nah I’m not going to Serum Summit unfortunately. 1) I probably have COVID rn :disappoint: (waiting on test results) and 2) I had 2 large reports due on Friday and I have 2 large exams coming this week. Bad time for it.

Haven’t really been paying attention... is Gtechniq dropping new stuff at Serum Summit this year?

Not sure, but I'd consider potential adjustments to technique to better take advantage of products they already have to be "new new" as well.
